Where's your favorite place to live? Or play?

I've run into three people today who've never even left the metro area. That just won't stand. Heck. I'm only here on sufferance, but I've got wanderlust bad. As soon as my kids grown, I'm out. Passports are made to be reissued.

How bout'chall? Are you home? Or just stopped over in a place for awhile?

Since I left Oconomowoc, Wisc in 1986....I've done nothing but wander the earth.

Kanda, Kyushu. South Island of Japan. Tropical sleepy Japanese town.

A pub on the river in Ely, UK. Abt an hour north of London. Sit and drink Titanic Ale till you fall in the river.

Tokyo and Seoul for big cities. There is so much to see in each. Take your years.

After I rebuild again, I'll probably take to road once more.

Once my kids are grown. I'm gone. I don't know where? I like the isolation of the water. My real dream is to have a boat and a small place along the coast. Somewhere quiet if there is such a thing. It's a dream.

I do love New Mexico though too.

Being born into the Air Force, we went everywhere!!! All over the states and then Germany, from which we traveled to Paris Luxembourg, Austria. Then I joined up and did a bunch of Asia. I love travel, but hate the Airliners. They kept jamming more and more people into the same space, to the point people are way too far inside my comfort zone.

I'd like to see more of the states and then revisit Europe. Don't really have a desire to see Asia again. If I were rich, I'd have the Healey shipped to Europe and just drive all over hell and back.

I've criss crossed the US several times north and south as well. Been to novia scotio, Montreal Toronto. Germany turkey. I have access to space a travel. So maybe at my next evaluation they'll finally tell me I am not well enough to work and I'm sure ill start traveling again

I'm thinking New Zealand is where it's at. They had a program where vet's could join their military. I tried it out in 2012 but didn't pass the mental evaluation lol. Go figure. Anyhow the pictures I've seen look great.

I've been thinking of heading over South Island, New Zealand next chance I get, for awhile now. Snowboarding & Surfing 2 hours away in each direction! There's only a half dozen places in the world where that's true. So I'd like to go see Christchurch for a bit. Still never been downunder anywhere, really. Lived & travelled all over the PacRim above the equator. They confined all Marines to ship in Aussie ports (grumble grumble), and we never went more south than that. Shoulda confined us in Thailand. But no. Apparently no one jumps ship in Thailand -on purpose- but we were losing 10% or more every time we even got near Australia. Still ticked about that one.

lol, awesome. I still have yet to see the beach from the ground. I get the feeling state-lakes don't do it justice.

I need to nip over to Copenhagen & kidnap a tattoo artist for a day, first.

My wife and I want to go to Queenstown, New Zealand ourselves, it's only a two hour flight. But Australia is such a big bad land for it's population, and so diverse in climate. You can go from Tropical Rain Forest and Great Barrier Reef in North Queensland to the Barossa Wine Valley in South Australia, remote pristine world heritage Tasmania, the Victorian Coastline home to some really uber shore breaks, and then there is Western Australia, home to The Kimberleys, Ayr's Rock and some untouched coastline.

I would like to go to the USA, go out to Arizona, down the Mississippi and Colorado Rivers, The Grand Canyon, and of course Disneyland.

How many of you have seen your whole country?????

There are some awesome sights in Colorado that's for sure. Pikes peak is a spot I recommend. Also Manitou Springs is a cool place real chill environment.
