Just Received A Funny Call

Phone rang this morning. I answer and it's so and so from the VARO. She wants to verify dependent information regarding my claim. Says she wasn't sure about my son's first name.

I clarify everything with her then ask what it about. She said she wanted to make sure they had all my dependent info and deposit info right. I asked her why, had I been awarded something?

She explained yes. Told me 80%. Part for PTSD and part for other issues.

So right now I am flabbergasted. I'm in disbelief. And I refuse to believe anything they tell me until I get some form of letter.

I really never expected this. Not sure how I really feel. There is a sense of satisfaction they they are acknowledging something though. Perhaps reading the VA law paid off.

So I wonder. Now what? I know still nothing is written yet. I told myself that if this ever worked in my favor I wanted to figure a way to help others somehow. Feels like my life is now back in a development stage.

Congrats Grizz. The VA has been pushed hard recently by Congress & the public. I've noticed several people getting resolution all of a sudden. Seems the VA is starting to learn how to get some work accomplished. I also got my final issue resolved recently. It is good to be done with them.

Honestly I don't want to be done. I have been fascinated by the law. I think I want to try to help other vets fight for What they deserve.

A VSO...No! Not sure what though.

I'm going to move forward with therapy and building the tools to be happier first of all.

Consider sharing your experience with other Veterans. One such site, www.hadit.com, does wonders. I got so brain fried by the drug cocktails the VA poured down my throat, I couldn't remember the statutes any more. So, I was useless. All I could add was moral support.

That, being said, a very big congrats and hope it helps.
