What Made You Happy Today?

Good question, @Rain . So many things led me to this point, and just as many things can take me back down. lol Staying mindful of what enriches my life vs. draining it helps to stay on top of things, so to speak, most days. Also:
  • By reaching what felt like a point of no return in all the other ways I had tried.
  • By repeatedly learning what NOT to do.
  • By being willing to unlearn what I'd been conditioned/programmed to believe my whole life, be it by family, schools, churches, medical professionals, etc.
  • By being forced into drastic change through a medical emergency.....twice.
  • By fortunately crossing paths with healing practitioners who are/were willing to barter so I could directly experience the healing powers of things I used to classify as being a bunch of hype/fake gurus/etc.
  • By finally having a partner in life who willingly and lovingly supports me in whatever way I need, even though he may never thoroughly innerstand.
  • By finally learning to love me for who and what I am right now vs. continuing to long for a me that may never be.
  • By finally and directly feeling what improved health really feels like based heavily on my consumption choices rather than based on what someone who barely knows me tells me I need. ("You've had the power all along, Dorothy", always comes to mind in that regard)
  • By diving into the deep end of many subjects I used to avoid because I didn't feel worthy or qualified enough to pass judgement either way.
  • By no longer digesting and absorbing the energies of other living beings that suffer purposeful harm for my various taste bud addictions, and trying to continue to convince myself and my conscious that sort of thing is "normal".
  • By learning more about all the systems that make up this being known as me and how I can do more in my daily choices and habits to be sure they get the best fuel and environment that I can realistically provide.
  • By making it a point to never forget where I came from and what I've survived, thus far.
  • By purposefully seeking out and spending time with the beauty that surrounds each day.
Sorry.....didn't mean for it to become an essay question, but it's truly taken a whole lot of effort, things, and circumstances to align as they have, and it's an ongoing journey with no clear finish line in sight.
