My bipolar moods (with severity)

Well, I had to be firm, refusing to discuss my Hospital visit. He got a bit pushy asking Q.'s and I got a bit pushy refusing to answer them. Then we talked about other things and that was the end of that. He brought it up one more time and I sealed it closed one more time and that was REALLY that!

He stroked my hands and my back which I enjoyed. We hugged and he left after having been here for an hour or so. I managed. I think that was good practice, because everyone is going to want to know what I was hospitalized for at work too, and I am going to have to handle it about the same way. This is difficult! Why do folks have to ask so MANY Q.'s?

I am feeling so tired this morning. There are so many things it could be. Lyme Disease has some fatigue connected with it, stress about all I have been through in the last weeks might be the cause, new meds might be causing it, or who knows what else could be! All I know is that I want to rest all the time, just about. I have to force myself to do things, because sleeping and resting all day and all night will not be good for me. Also, come to think of it, DEPRESSION can cause this too, but then that is just the reason to fight it with all I've got. So I am going to do just that.

I found out, by reading my meds info sheets that the tiredness is caused by one of them. Probably by another one too. So, I guess I'm stuck with it, but I can fight it to a certain degree, knowing what is causing it.

Sheila, keep in mind that changing meds is a process... depending on the med it can take 3 weeks or longer to normalize and adjust to the new med or new amount. You can check with the pharmacist and ask about what to expect for the meds though keep in mind it is a ball park and each individual is different?

So, in other words, I might not always be tired on these new meds, but just while my body is adjusting to them? (It is hard to tell for sure, which med is causing this, as some cause "sleeping problems" and others cause "drowsiness" and "dizziness)." @The Albatross

Well, someone told someone about my having been in the mental ward. So now someone point blank asked me today if I were in the "unit upstairs." That is where the mental health unit is in the local hospital. I wonder what else someone told someone and someone else told that to someone else and so on and so forth and how soon will it be before the whole town knows that I was in the mental health unit, and for what too. Sheeesh!

Losing one's memory is kind of one of those things that gets one, once in awhile really "good." I mentioned to my pastor once that I would soon be having my 1st session with my new therapist. Well, I had that "session" and it turned out to be an interview, so I did not really even feel like it was a session. So today I mentioned to her that I had not yet had my 1st Session with my new therapist. UGH! Now I recall I had mentioned what I mentioned and she probably thinks I am a liar. I can explain it sometime, but I'm supposed to be taking a nap right now, but who can sleep with this on their mind! There is always something on my mind that keeps me awake these days. I am averaging 4 hours of sleep a night, what with coming off the Clonazepam and starting Ambien. Also, my niece has had major sleep walking incidents with that med, so I am nervous that it will cause that too, like she said she has had phone conversations and driven her car while on it and not remembered a thing!!! So I don't know what to do, because without it, I sleep even less, sigh....

starting Ambien.

I think this is a very dangerous drug and it does cause very serious sleep walking. the doctors put my husband on it and One night I woke up to him trashing my kitchen and falling all over the place and I took him off of that really quick so please use extreme caution with The Ambien okay?

WOW, OK. I do chain my door. So far I have not had any problems with it. However, I have heard about so many of these sleep walking things, that I do wonder! If I find any signs of this problem, I will go off of it too.

It was nice just to chat with a neighbor in the laundry room a few minutes ago. We understood each other and she offered to be there for me in the future, if I need to talk. She hugged me too. Priceless.

Next Sat I will be meeting with one of the friends I met at the Hospital. We are going out for pizza. I'm so happy about this. It is important to have friends that understand and that one can see in person. She lives a dozen miles from here or so. I'm hoping that we can exchange gifts for Christmas, seeing as the Kris Kringle is not happening here this year. She and I have discussed the Bible a bit and she is in a mood to ask questions about it and want to read it too. She was raised Catholic, she told me, but no longer goes. It will be interesting to talk with her about her beliefs and show her things from the Bible, if she still wants to know about it. I will be gentle on that subject. I know I can get over-enthusiastic about it and I have to watch that.
