Liquid magnesium

I just tried liquid ionic magnesium for the first time, and OMG! It took away my nausea (caused by anxiety), as well as my anxiety itself. (And in lightning time I might add!)

I’ve since been researching magnesium as a supplement and it seems that low magnesium levels can cause anxiety and depression issues (or at the very least cause these issues to worsen.)

I’m not sure how many kinds of liquid magnesium exist, but I take the ionic form, which is what the body has in the bloodstream already, magnesium ions. So no worrying about the umpteen different kinds of magnesium, some of which have low bioavailability and just pass right on through without being absorbed.

Another positive of liquid supplements is the precision dosing. You can count down to the drop if you need to, whereas with pills you can only get certain pill sizes.

I generally don’t push supplements on people, but given how much better I feel after the first few doses, I knew I had to share.

I’m one who doesn’t do well on most pharmaceuticals so I’m beyond the moon excited that I have such positive results with this supplement.

Maybe it would help you, and maybe it won’t. If you have a magnesium deficiency (as I know I do since my diet is oftentimes poor), then supplementing with magnesium could really help you. You never know until you try.

I hope my post helps someone! It’s just sad how the medical world pushes drugs in us without even checking to make sure that we are getting essential nutrients!

Oh, but be careful with dosing! I took too much and ended up running to the bathroom. From now on I’m going to divide up my doses throughout the day. It also tastes pretty vile, but if you get the same anxiety relief I do, you’ll find a way to get it down lol.

Today is day 2, and I’m still loving it!

I divided my doses up so that it doesn’t upset my system and have me running to the bathroom.

I’m amazed at how much better I’m feeling, given that I just had a really rough two week span of anxiety and nausea.

I keep telling people about my experience but they look at me like I’m crazy lol. I just figure that if this works this well for me, of course I want to tell everyone I know so that maybe it could help them feel better, too. I think it could help a friend of mine who has anxiety and depression but he kind of brushed me off. Not sure what that was about. I can lead a horse to water but I can’t make it drink!

Yep. Malnutrition mimics a lot of psych disorder symptoms.

Magnesium is one of the supplements people need to be pretty durn careful with, though. Overdose is really easy to do, and it can chew up your kidneys and spit them out even at half or minimal doses... and those suckers don't repair once they shut down. Have to get all new ones.

It's only 2 minutes in a lab, and maybe a 15 minute appointment to get your levels checked (and history checked). Can save you a ton of grief later on, get yourself on a regular kidney function test regimen, as well as find out what other vitamins/minerals you may be deficient in.

@+littlebird

I am taking 25% of the recommended daily allowance, which is 100mg of magnesium (according to my bottle), so with my 4 doses I’m getting 100% of the recommended daily allowance. I know that some people mega dose on supplements, but I’m not going to even think of trying that unless I really need more symptom relief as this stuff really can cause intestinal distress.

I know there are a number of companies that make liquid ionic magnesium. My bottle is from Trace Minerals Research which you can get from Amazon, GNC, and Vitamin World. I looked at other brands but they seemed to cost more per dose. Lol, maybe my math was off so I’ll double check when I’m not so tired!

Tonight I was out in public and it hit me that I’m not as sensitive to sound.

Huh.

I wondered if it could be the magnesium, so I googled it.

Low and behold, magnesium can help with hyperacusis issues.

OMG!

You have no idea how happy I am! Huperacusis has been one of my most persistent symptoms and has fed off my hypervigilance. Now that it’s better? There are no words.

This is fantastic!!!!!

I’ve heard lots of good things about Mg oral supplementation. So pleased it’s working for you!

After some reading of the science I have concluded that Mg oil on the other hand is simply an expensive snake oil.
