Hi @CAROLYN GARCIA - do you have PTSD?
Hi I don't know. I seeing my heart Dr an a head Dr this week. I get migraines an this pressure an nauseous is worse. I can't function. I'm in bed all day. I will ask the Dr maybe if it is PTSD. Is there any oils for this pressure? How do u cope with this? I'm not sleeping well. Its midnite an slept for 3 hours. The only thing I can do is read my kindle. That keeps me from going crazy an distracts me. How do you cope with this?

@CAROLYN GARCIA This is a PTSD -Post Traumatic Stress Disorder- forum.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a psychological disorder formed by exposure to actual or threatened death, serious injury, or sexual violence... Such as Domestic violence, natural disasters, war, accidents, child abuse, murder, torture, terrorism, assault, rape, etc.

Headaches are common with PTSD, and about 1,000 other disorders/ conditions/ illnesses, but they don't indicate PTSD. There will probably be a few hundred other more likely causes your doctors will want to investigate first. Most people with severe headaches, nausea, & migraines don't have PTSD.

If you're coming down with blinding headaches every time you relive your rape, or your child dying in a fire, or similar? Then I would absolutely bring up your trauma history with your doctors. Even with a trauma history, there's only about a 1:5 chance of developing PTSD, there may be several other disorders -or none- in play. For example, anxiety can spike blood pressure, which can trigger migraines... And anxiety is a part of a couple dozen disorders, including every disorder resulting from trauma... Not just PTSD. So even if it's think about X trauma, get Y symptom, which causes Z headache? It could still be one of dozens of things. So the trauma history would be important, but it wouldn't lead to a diagnosis all by itself.
