Christmas stockings/apologies

I hate upsetting people. I feel like everywhere I go be it cyber or the real world I am constantly offending people...I know an apology is said to not be needed...but I don't know how else to right a wrong. So to the people in the other thread who felt like I overstepped them I really truly am very, very sorry. That was never my intention. I was just trying to join in the fun. Anyway... I am listening and trying to respect the wishes of those members... with what said and behind me now. ...I just wanted to go ahead and make this a thread. Right now though my inner child is kind of sad so maybe seeing everyone's responses will cheer her up.....I miss my Mom this time of year. She always went all out on stockings. Stuffing them clear full of make up, jewelry, and candy. So I am bringing virtual stockings for everyone! As far as gifts in them..they are magical stockings so the sky is the limit! What is in yours? Do tell.

You're right. No matter what you do, or where you go, someone will always be offended. You need to take care of your needs. It will most definitely be uncomfortable when you set your boundaries or voice your opinion. It sucks, but the world is made this way. I know because I struggle with it too. My therapist always gives me heck for it. Learning coping skills for this is the hardest thing I've had to do thus far.

I struggle this time of year too :/ stockings sounds fun never really had that but what you describe sounds awesome :D hmmm for a virtual stocking earrings would be fun :p I love wearing earrings

@trying2movefwd - you’ve done nothing wrong. Try and remember: we can’t take responsibility for other people’s interpretation of things. You are posting in good faith, and that’s all anyone can do around here.

In my stocking? I think I’d like kittens. I just want to play with them for awhile. I’m happy with my two cats, wouldn’t trade them for anything - but it would be nice to hang out with some kittens. :)

Socks. Warm, fluffy, completely impractical but amazingly comfy, socks.

Just got some Ghirardelli dark chocolate melting wafers :inlove: should try them they are so good. Definitely some of those in my stocking

I never remember having a stocking, so this would be great... I would like a gift card to a hobby shop, a pair of amethyst earrings, snacks for my dog, and to be able to pay it forward to others... this is a great idea...
You didn't do anything wrong. Put it behind if you as soon as you can.... and think of all of us lining up to get our stockings.. some that have never had one, like me... that is something great to look forward to.... and very thoughtful.... and never apologize for being human.... gentle hugs.

I've never really had a stocking though I do have a faint memory of there being a pillowcase when I was very small.

Feeling quite excited at the prospect of imagining this stocking lol - I think I would like - and this may be a long list :p

Some Cruelty free nail varnish in green, viridian to be precise :smug::laugh:

A palette of Cruelty free lipstick samples, very small samples, just enough to try on a couple of times so I can see what suits me. It's been a long time since I bothered much with lip colour and have no real clue what shades suit me

A slice of the strawberry mousse gateau they used to sell in the bakery where I grew up ♡

Actually these would be marvelous, maybe I'll try and fulfill the ones I can, must surely be able to find the nail varnish at least. :)

I want a puppy - but I have to be honest, I only want it for Christmas. I don't like dogs - only puppies. I don't think Santa will be granting my wish:(

Loving this - I’ll have a stocking too:)
Keep it simple, origami paper for me. Any size, any colour.
And some roo treats for Buddy. They’re probably more important than the origami paper. It would be a totally awesome Christmas if all I got was a whole heap of treats for my dog!!

I MISS MY STOCKING!!

That was always the best part of Christmas. Once my sisters started having kids we didn't get them anymore. (brats, just kidding)

I always had candy, jewelry, crayons, perfume, and other little treasures in mine. We could open them Christmas morning while we waited for Dad to get up.
