@Bird33, you're not the first person this has happened to. Quite a few members here have gone through very horrible things all at the hands of their T's.

As a supporter this infuriates me. If someone tried to do this with J? You can bet your sweet azz they'd be reported.

As someone who worked in the medical field for 20 years, this infuriates me. To do no harm. Well, too late for that.

Read some of the other posts here about abusive therapists. And get out now before...

Thank you. I know i should just make a decision and stop talking about it. I know it is unhealthy, I just have to figure out how I can get out. I have read everyone’s thoughts. I will look at the websites that were suggested and the other posts. Thank you for the help.

@Bird33 I think..again just repeating myself - you need a group of 'insider's' to help you do this. Come clean with husband, friends, family & your current treating therapist. Put it out there and say I need help to get out of this. Don't worry about humiliation, embarrassment or all those other toxic self talk things that go around and around till you decide not to do it (again).

Get them to help you.

I wish I could say that I was. She has been back to the original texting a lot, doing and planning things and I have not done anything.

I’m trying to do stuff with other friends and my husband and kids. It is just really hard because there is a pull to her and when she is pushing for stuff I feel like I can’t say no.

Challenge it! :) Just say no. You may feel terrible but it will get easier the next time, and the next time...

@littleoc i wish I could give you all a great update about my strength but sadly nothing has changed. I’m still in the relationship and it is still so very strong.
