Art therapy - share your work here

Ok, now that we are able to upload photos, I will share a couple of gourds I have carved. They are made as a form of therapy for me, as the process calms me.

The second photo is of one I made for my Psych doc, but have been too scared to give it to him. I know, "be brave" @ladee would tell me.

And here how I carved the top of a gourd that usually gets cut off and thrown away. I simply turned it upside down and used its stem as a natural holder so it would stand on its own.

BEAUTIFUL work @Still Standing. I wanted to do gourd work, but was so damned lazy to clean the gourds and couldn't afford the cleaned ones !! Just beautiuful work, and if you aren't going to be brave and give it to your T, send it to ME...

TRIANGULATION

More like strangulation
than triangulation
the choking of friendships
the group shun.

Been there
done that
they do it
to the fat.

Support goes down
strife rises to new hights
nothing anyone can do
solves the fights.

Take your seat
with a knife at your back
there are no shields
to guard against that flack.

You are on your own
seems there are not friends
you wonder what will happen
where it really ends?

Does it matter
what anyone thinks
in a Way, only what God wants
won't be what stinks.

See my profile. There's some poems that tells you about me and my 'lifework'.
Life is the best peace of art really.
I went to read them, but they don't seem to be there. If you still have copies, maybe you can post them here in this thread. I agree about life itself being one of the best creations!

Here is a painting of the place in my childhood that I often went to as a refuge. We called it "2nd Falls" and it was deep in the woods, very secluded, and in general no adults knew it was there. It was our secret!

I plan to send it to my sister, as I am thinking of doing a whole series of paintings on this place. We loved it and went there often.

This is the 2nd one in my 2nd Falls Series, our favorite stop to hide out in the days of our childhood. This is the spot we cherished the most, I think. We would sit on the ground under the tree, eat our picnic and dangle our feet into the water as it tumbled by and fell into the pond below. There was the calming affect of the sounds of the bubbling water over the rocks and sand.

These are just some happy memories from the "2nd Falls'' area, the creek had 100s of these little sweet pollywogs (frogs in the making). We loved watching them and even catching one and taking it home and watching it develop into a frog and then releasing it. I was a little tomboy as you can imagine. ;)

LOVE Pollywogs and frogs! Your painting brings back many childhood memories of collecting jars of pollywogs from the local ponds and taking them home and putting them in a fish tank, so we could watch them change into frogs. Once they sprouted their legs, we would put them back in the ponds. So much fun! A great childhood delight, for sure.
