Colorful and hopefully optimistic but maybe hateful occasionally

So, speaking of not being evil.

There's this national chain restaurant that I've had a lot of respect for over the years because they're one of the only fast-food-sort-of-places that has great ethics. So far. They only get happy chickens and happy cows and all that jazz. Stuff I really really believe in but haven't ranted about much here because it's not usually trauma-related. (Usually. I don't really feel like discussing it right now. I swear I'm not out there telling everyone to go vegan, though.)

So I've been very supportive aaaaaaaaaand it turns out they got their start up money from the assets of Jews they killed. :I Neat.

At least they don't care that I'm gay, I guess. Did y'all knows it's still legal in my state to get refused service for being gay? I still wear my Gay-Israel flag pin, though. It's okay, I can always get my mom to visit the local Chick-fil-a if I get a craving. lol. I've honestly been kicked out of more places for having a service dog, which is completely legal, than for the completely legal denial of service for being gay. At least it's legal for me to adopt a child in this state. I don't have equal rights yet but whatever. Most of the time it doesn't seem to matter.

It might be silly but I feel a bit betrayed. I mean.... yay for the humane lives of animals, though. I need to do more research to figure out if this chain restaurant has done anything in compensation. I'm sort of afraid to look. I'm a bit exhausted... There was in bill recently... anyway. We don't talk politics here  It's also possible that the founder of the restaurant was not the same as the funding agency -- I'm being vague on purpose. I mean that the idea of a good, ethical restaurant may have been started by one guy, and the rich guy who has not-ethical money just funded it. Begs the question as to why his other chains would be non-ethical but whatever, probably something with being unsure if Americans would pay for it. It was probably a board of people who decided that.

Throwback to Coca-cola blackmailing my friends and a perfectly legitimatize decision. You can sell sodas without selling our public water to random other people, you dicks. Fun fact, if you have to pay people to change votes around, you're rude.

Pffffffffffff. At least Coca-cola is funding education in the South still. It's not that weird that they'd threaten to take it away for not letting them sell a product. That is hurting the nearby communities. Which is somehow legal, despite it literally being their public property. It's the logging-scandal all over again, except my professor didn't accidentally step on their toes this time. lol

I'm aware no one cares. It just feels nice to get it out. My family talks over me if I bring it up. Corruption makes people uncomfortable, which I completely understand. (That's not sarcasm. There's a reason I won't talk politics with anyone. It's really hard to care after a long day. Which is the problem but I'm not going to be hard on myself right now.)

Anyway, now that that's out. I found out fried potatoes are WAY better in the oven! If you put them in a frying pan with the onions and peppers too soon, they get a little less crunchy. Maybe there was too much oil in the pan? It still tasted great, though!! I didn't make it, my mom did. So I don't know how much oil there was.

Also, I've been working on a fairy garden! It's almost complete. It's nice to look at. If I had more space, I'd have a bunch of them and probably a lot less money. Although, they would be pretty cute if I made them outdoors... They'd just need more maintenance.

One time my little brother was told by his first grade teacher to make a Leprechaun trap. It was fantastic. It was found in the morning closed, with glitter and some candy in it! But no sign of the lil Leprechaun. :0

I also discovered that I wouldn't be able to drive much if I still had Brandi in my life. She'd be texting Fungus all day. It was hard enough to go to classes, or to Iceland. A ten-minute car ride, and she'd have been sending me though, "Did I break you?" texts again. Not that I minded those -- she was just checking to make sure she still had a friend on the other line. It sort of showed how invested she was. Which was both really nice and really worrying. I'm glad I can stop worrying about her now. It was really painful. I wasn't even sure I was going to be able to have children, because I'd somehow how to text her while giving birth or she'd start pointing out how much of a coincidence it was that Fungus got quiet when I did. :sour:

Oof, that's enough of that!

Yoga is also going well! I'm really liking it. I'm having much harder of a time than every other new person who is usually more than twice my age. I've decided no one's judging me anyway, so I'll just work on my own strength and in eight weeks maybe I'll compare to the newbies! At least it isn't MS!!! Y'all have no idea how relieved I was to hear that. It's probably my toddler years of being locked in one room and in a cage and only being given a snack bowl and no water. That can't be good long term! lol

Now I wonder if I sound like a dad-was-mean-so-now-I-am-gay-and-hate-all-power/government/corporations. Hahahaha, love it. Maybe THAT'S why, of my mom's four children, THREE of them turned out gay! Or bi. And the one that didn't is very against being gay so he's probably just hiding something. After all, he DID have a poster of Edward Cullen over his bed for two years! I'm not making fun of him, I thought it was great. People can like things.

I should type less at 3am probably. All that is meant to be funny. :D I don't hate the government or corporations, though. One of the senators started having open lunches to anyone in the state -- that'd be hard to support if you hated the government. Some humans suck and some are honestly trying. She's the same senator who came to my brothers' concert in high school and read from a little story-board to accompany their tunes. She didn't recognize the word "hypocrite" and it is still one of my favorite memories. Really cool lady, though I still don't agree with -- does anyone ever agree with everything someone else thinks? lol

❤?????

Remember this is your space to use as you need it
Sometimes there are non-trauma related things that we need to vent about to unfill? (Can't think of verb) empty!!! Our stress cup.

Yoga is all about focusing inward, so that's where the minds of your fellow yogis should be headed! Glad you are enjoying it.

Have a restful sleep when you get there! ?

True. I guess I'm just tired of all the hatred. I think most people are by the time they're seven years old. :P

I'm in a class taught by Neil Gaiman right now (he has no idea I'm in his class, it's an online thing), and he said something that really struck me. He said people my age ("young writers") don't want to write conflict in their stories because they've seen enough conflict already and just want things to go peacefully. I really loved it. He's exactly right. The only nice person I know who loves to argue is my two-year-old nephew :P

You too, thank you!!! ? ?????❤?????

I bought future me a blanket that’s supposed to make these awful thoughts slow down a little

But it’s 5am so I have a feeeeling I should chill...

Also got a case for it, for my yoga mat (it had snakes on it), and ordered an air purifier for the bird room because I’m officially sick of smelling mold

Was tempted to buy some crocheted stuffed cacti in pots for $33. Didn’t!

And I have stolen a single thing all year, despite being terrified food might run out!

I keep meaning to say this, @Freida, fun fact about mold. Black mold being the most toxic is a myth, but not because it’s not toxic. It’s because studies proved that all molds were potentially as dangerous as each other in the right context! Fun. Scientists agree that if you can smell it, and it if gets you ill in any way (itchy eyes, for example), it’s a hazard

I thought that was fun

I really like fungi (can’t imagine why lol) but I’m absolutely sick of trying to chase it out of the rooms I’m staying in

I’m going to sleep now lol. Just thought you’d like that. Seeing black mold still isn’t a good sign

 any luck on jobs? I can’t remember the website now but there is a thing where you can go to different peoples farms and work for them and get room and board. Doesn’t have to be strenuous labor either, sometimes they just want a warm body hanging around.

Im not even sure why the smell won’t go away. I imagined it was a mildew except that the room is at 28% humidity so that’s impossible. It irritates my senses. Fungi will eat bird dandruff though, and I bet that’s my problem

Also the fact that the carpet is from 1978 or something and may have never been washed. Probably lots o’ food in that lol

It’s not so bad in the center. I’m willing to walk without shoes on the carpet which, with the OCD being this crazy, is saying a LOT. Just won’t do it before bed — that would mess up the ritual :/
