Symbols Of Faith - A Game

If you were to wear a symbol of your faith, ... what would it be?

The Game :sneaky:

Vampires are real. The only protection against them is wearing a symbol of your faith. The stronger the point of connection, the more invulnerable you become! A dime sized token of your truest faith renders you invisible, faster than a speeding bullet, stronger than steel, immortal for all intents and purposes.... whilst a full body tattoo of something you connect to only vaguely means a sharp glance by a vampire across a room cuts you.

It doesn’t matter where your faith lies. If you’re a mathematician and your faith is in the beauty and truth of numbers? A poet, artist, writer, runner, electrician? Tinker, tailor, soldier, spy? Find your symbol(s). What’s meaningful to you. If you’re religious but connect more strongly to something other than the commonly held representation of your religion? It’s the point of connection that matters, not the popularity of the piece.

More than one answer is both allowed & encouraged, but you only need one!

<grin> Get creative, get real, (vanquish your enemies!), & have fun.

A horseshoe. Not because I believe in luck (I don't). Because it represents what I do for a living. I shoe horses. At the same time, I contribute what I'm able, to making the world what I conceive of to be a better place. What I "believe" is that by trying, by putting forth whatever effort we can, to be a positive force in the universe, an individual can do some small part to tip the comic scales in the direction of "Good".

I know that sounds silly, but I think physics is on my side. :)

male-heart.webp

This thing. (Maybe I wouldn't keep it in my pocket though - it looks a little pointy for that.)

The Mars symbol represents masculinity. I'm slowly learning the power of my masculinity, after years of fearing it and even trying to destroy it. The heart symbolizes compassion, as my conception of masculinity is that it MUST include compassion in order to activate true strength and heroism.

EDIT: Makes a nice avatar, no?

... Is it enough if we blind the vampire or do they have yet some other senses we should know about? :) Sorry, while figuring the sy meantime, still more interested in knowing how to recognize and take down the attacker, than armor first.

And can we shield each other by knowing everybodys symbols? Does knowing them make the protection stronger? Do public displays & size amp the shielding up?

A piece of a copper conductor to remind me that I control the pathways, that I have the ability to guide electrical energy (be it in the mind or physical world), I can guide it's current anywhere I desire.

Maybe an acorn clamp to remind me that I have a way to ground.

Lol @Ronin :D

Ok first go -
Trees, represent life and connection to me, and in my darkest days allowed me to feel some little connection still.

I might like a symbol that represents some of the good things I connect to my Dad, kind of will have to think what image would symbolise that though - something about always learning, and it being ok to make mistakes and something about being very human, making up for wrongs. And love. Shall see if I come up with summat.

I've got it! He always wore enormous jeans and braces, kind of looked like a hillbilly in denim dungarees but crossed with a mad scientist. But there is something about the silhouette of him in those clothes that is extremely comforting to me.so, a dark blue silhouette of me Dad. As a tattoo?
