General Serious Police Activity in the News Where My Ex Lives...

On the local news yesterday, they reported there was a robbery right in front of my ex's apartment building. In the news video, you could see FOUR cop cars in front of my ex's street sign! Unfortunately, the news report was VERY vague. All it said was, police arrested at least one suspect in robbery that took place on the corner of such and such, and such and such street(which is exactly my ex's apartment building.)

I freaked out and emailed him a link to the news report. In the subject header I said "ARE YOU OK??"

This was last night, and I got NO response.
I actually checked out my ex's FB page and he had posted something public a few hrs ago--just saying he was excited about some show he's going to tomorrow.

So, at least I know he's ok, but now I'm angry he didn't even bother replying to me.

Sweetie, please let go. It’s been quite awhile since you broke up with him. I think it’s time to seek out therapy as you can’t let go of this guy and still email him long after the relationship ended and he told you that he wanted to move on. You know he’s not going to reply because he has moved on. I think that you could be moving into harassment territory at this point. You’ve been broken up from him now for as long as the relationship lasted (6 months). This isn’t healthy, and I think you need some help to move on.

Just wanted to add, 4 police vehicles at a traffic stop for a warning about speeding isn't unusual. At a robbery scene, it's almost a given.

The reason for the number? Usually just other patrol units in the area swinging by to be there in case something goes wrong. They will just hang around until it's over, or they get dispatched somewhere else.
It's one of those "Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it." kind of things.

His apt building is literally the only thing at that corner. I live in a city with several shootings per week. I don't care whether we aren't still friends or not. If something that draws that many cops to his street happens and the news is vague, it seems normal to check in on someone you once cared about ffs.

If my street was in the news for some serious crime I wd hope he wd do the same!

A break in and a shooting happened 50 feet from my bedroom window. I certianly wasn't texting any of my ex's to let them know anything. It's actually normal that he wouldn't. Because he is your ex.

I don't mean this to sound harsh but...
Didn't you break up with him because he wouldn't text you back? Why would he change that when he's not with you? Or Did I read that wrong?
