I'm grateful I don't have to keep a gratitude journal anymore. Yes, I've read all the articles that say that keeping a gratitude journal is the one weird trick that will automatically and instantly make your life wonderful and you'll always be happy forevermore. I must have been doing it wrong, because it didn't do shit for me.

Good thing this National Holiday comes only once a year!?

Grateful for my eyes, being able to see
My ears being able to hear
My nose and being able to smell
My legs working so I can get around, and dance!!!!
My skin containing me and being able to sense
My heart and lungs and liver and all the internal structures that keep me going.
My brain, injured though it is. I like the kindness in it, the sense of humour, and the slight perversity - in the sense of enjoying thinking and liking things that are arse backwards but work. Rather than in the sense of being perverted :D

I like the way you think about your brain.....

I'm grateful for:
life
God, prayer and all that comes with that
friends, neighbors and family
the beauty of nature
Big City Skylines
sunsets
medical practitioners that care and treat us with compassion and respect
medicines that help us feel better
peace treaties
nations that keep their end of it in peace treaties
fresh air
children laughing and playing
music and the arts
the aroma of roses
comfortable cloths and shoes
there is plenty more....
