I am volunteering for a local adoption program/rescue, and we are having a fundraising event/dinner in October. I created the flyer, and now I am putting together some raffle baskets to donate to the event.

One of the baskets is for self-care. I have my own ideas for what to include, but I thought I'd see what *you* would want to receive in a self-care basket.

I would be tickled to find any of the following in a self-care basket (they are so much fun to create!!!):

(Based on my personal needs and preferences, I would be sure to offer unscented products, because you never know who may be allergic/sensitive to typical fragrances - and food offerings be at places that offer allergen-friendly and vegan options just in case they need those choices for the health of it)

  • Magnesium flakes and/or epsom salts - or the body spray equivalent
  • Eye mask - the kind that curves over the nose and has blinking room
  • Lip Balm - made by local artisan(s)
  • Candles - unscented or the flameless variety
  • A simple foot soaking tub of some variety - make that the basket and add the epsom salt/magnesium flakes, a super soft towel, super soft fuzzy socks, a peppermint foot rub (made by local artisan), a pumice stone, etc.
  • Herbal teas, like peppermint, tulsi, nettle, or ginger and a cup with a funny or kind saying/graphic/etc. - if you get loose teas rather than bags, include a french press, maybe a frother thingy, some turmeric, honey, plant-based mylk - in case of dairy allergies, etc.
  • A dammit doll - they are so much fun to relieve stress with - or a stress ball, a fidget toy, a curse word coloring book with fine tipped non bleed-through markers and/or colored pencils
  • A gratitude journal and/or affirmation book/deck and/or smart ass book/deck of some sort
  • Hot/cold therapy pack(s) of different sizes and varieties
  • Gift certificate(s) to local food spots and/or grocery markets that offer online pick-up and/or farmers' markets, and/or a florist or gardening shop

My brain could keep going, but I'll chill for now. lol Have lots of fun creating! Eager to hear what you choose to offer. :) Best wishes in raising lots of funds.

Thanks for all the great ideas! I have to admit, I am having sooo much fun picking out things for these. I will post a list later of the things I chose!

Adventure
Oh, great idea!
Definitely a good moisturiser for my hands and feet. Instant feel good.
I definitely need to include this!
A dammit doll
LOL. This is one thing I hadn't thought about. I got one for a friend of mine years ago - I'm going to have to look around and see if I can find one!

Ooh, lovely.

I’d absolutely love to find any of the following:

- hand/foot cream and scrub
- eye pillow
- soft cosy socks
- candle
- lip balm/exfoliator
- eye gel
- deep conditioning hair treatment
- blanket/throw
- postcards with quotes
- journal/notebook
- colouring book
- massage ball
- I haven’t read it yet but have heard good things about Matt Haig’s Comfort Book
- locally made/artisan sweet treat

Hope it’s a great success and that you raise lots of funds 😀

Thanks for all the great ideas! I will take a look at the book; I am definitely looking to include a little book, as well!
