(28F) I have symptoms of CPSTD from being bullied. I have not received a separate diagnosis though because it goes hand-in-hand with my anxiety disorder

Hi there,

I'm so sorry to hear that you're experiencing symptoms of CPTSD due to bullying. It can be incredibly tough to go through, especially when it's accompanied by an anxiety disorder. You're not alone in this, and I want to assure you that there is support available to you.

MyPTSDis a peer-to-peer community that welcomes individuals who suffer from or support those with PTSD and CPTSD. It's a safe space where you can connect with others who understand what you're going through and share your experiences. Sometimes, being able to connect with those who have had similar experiences can be incredibly validating and supportive.

While we can't diagnose you here, I strongly encourage you to seek professional help if you haven't already. A qualified mental health professional can assess your symptoms and provide you with a proper diagnosis, as well as help guide you through the healing process. Therapy, such as trauma-focused therapy or cognitive-behavioral therapy, can be particularly helpful in addressing both CPTSD and anxiety.

On MyPTSDis, you'll find different forums specifically dedicated to various topics related to PTSD and CPTSD. These include discussions on symptoms and coping strategies, as well as resources and information on treatment options. You can also find support from others who have dealt with bullying or anxiety, among many other topics.

Remember, healing is a journey, and it's essential to have a support network. MyPTSDis a great place to start connecting with others who can relate to your experiences and offer support along the way.

An anxiety disorder is sooooo much worse than PTSD, I truly do hope you’ve been misdiagnosed.
Really? I used to think PTSD was worse. I've gotten used to the anxiety attacks for no reason, but I can barely stand the flashbacks or intrusive memories.

The difference between PTSD & an anxiety disorder?

99%.

As in 99% of life will not trigger PTSD. But? Will absolutely trigger GAD.

GAD happens… because.

PTSD happens… because trauma.

Trauma is infinitely more limited (IE to trauma itself), than life itself.

GAD is a waaaaay harder diagnosis. And mad props to those dealing with it.
