I Feel Hands!

I hate this! Literally f**king hate this!! I feeling hands between my legs and I want to cry! Am I posting this in the right place? idk? I want to cut myself. I want to run screaming into traffic. The anxiety I feel is so f**king overwhelming. I want to cry! I hate my life! I hate having to live like this! I don't want this anymore!

NO MORE!!!!!!! I'M TIRED OF THIS SH*T!
 
Resist the urge to self harm... why add self inflicted trauma to what you've already been through? I was a cutter as a teen... the release I got from it was only temporary. Ride the urge and redirect... do something creative, or self loving. Build yourself up and feel yourself come up to the surface. I visualize myself diving then rising up to the surface of a pool or the ocean... and then floating when this occurs. Distraction works for me too... for the most difficult of times, I disconnect from the feelings and engage in something for someone or something else. It has taken practice.

I hope you're okay gal, breathe, and do something... sing something at the top of your lungs, jump on a rebounder, or take a hot bath with aroma therapy and give yourself a manicure or facial, Murphy's right it will pass... but I got to take that urge and focus on self loving. If not us doing something loving for ourselves then who? It's helping.

Find 5 blue things.
Look outside, what nature do you see...
Hugging a tree or looking closely at its bark (woof), listening to birds,
Physical activity...
Push those hands away from you (literally, using your arms to push him away).
Stomp on and break those friggin hands!

Get present, Hon!
It isn't happening right in this moment, it is only a memory that you successfully survived.
Get present, Sweetheart...

You can do this... You're a strong, wonderful woman, a beautiful survivor... You've already triumphed!

No kidding, I love that "what do you see around you? Find 5 blue things." I want to remember that one, it is new?

I have done an exercise for grounding. It was a 30 day "5 Notable things"... where I just tried to be present and observe things without value judgements. But finding 5 blue things is much, much faster and a fast way to ground.
 
Hey Heather... allow yourself to feel the sensation of floating for a time. But then don't leave yourself in the pool or ocean. Take a look around and pick a direction that will get you back to land, and start swimming.

Hey KP dog paddle is swimming... whatever works without drowning is suitable, style is a self imposed value judgement.

Okay Heather we got a big group swimming along with you... let's turn it on it's ear and make it fun.
 
That would freak me out too! Just the thread title alone! I know your post was awhile ago, so I'm really hoping you're taking some of the suggestions here and pampering and grounding yourself. If you can do nothing else, concentrate on your breathing - keep it slow and steady, in through the nose, out through the mouth. We are all here for you so go ahead and lean on us!
