I have been wound up in a thousand knots over the past couple of weeks with stress from work. Overloaded, overworked and totally out of whack. Suffering back pain, headaches, dry retching about going to work and so on. My eyes were continually stinging and watering and I was scared that something was wrong as the pressure behind them was intense.
I don't think I have been the nicest person to be around but I have tried very hard to contain my stress.
Yesterday we had to go to the major supermarket in order to drop work off to a client and pick up the next lot. After finishing shopping, Anthony suggested I have a massage (which I had commented on when passing earlier in the morning before getting the groceries.
I chose a reflexology foot massage and, while I sat there with the chart in my hands, it was amazing how much pain I had when she massaged the areas that related to the eyes, brain and sciatic nerves.
I also chose to have a shoulder, neck massage and asked her to include my calves as they were killing me. My GP had said no more Osteo for awhile as I had to get my body back on track with core strength due to my back injury so I opted out of a back massage.
At times I was in agony while undergoing the massage and even the shoulders sent shooting pains down my arms. While walking out sore I felt "at peace".
Last night I slept a solid 10 hours, having no more than 5 broken hours over 2 weeks, and during the afternoon was able to solidly concentrate on my work without being distracted by forums or other things due to mind overload.
Firstly a big kiss to my husband to being so thoughtful and he noticed an amazing difference in me.
Secondly, I need to get back in control on my work so enjoy the peace while I try and keep my time limited on the forum until some balance is restored.:p
Geez.... I love my husband (who reckons he is taking me there every week based on the change). :inlove:
Hi ho, hi ho.... it's off to work I go. Have a good day/night everyone. :whistling:
