Veiled, so far everyone has gotten some kinda pay increase that transferred... kinda as an insentive to make up for going from L.A to Plano.

Motorjack, no sleep will catch up to you. I went through a sleepless month, totally messed me up!! Im sorry you are having a bad week. Hopefully things will get better, .... what seems to be pissing you off?

hey

:dont-know Sleep is a huge issue and they have given me sleeping pills but my brain wont let me relax. If i do go to sleep , it a horror show. I sitting in my living room again, scared of the dark. Its work issues that have caused my problem, lost to many friends...

oooh thats bad!

sorry to hear your having it so ruff. triazalam (I think thats how you spell it) knocks me out cold.It remineds me of being very close to death perhaps thats why it works so well for me.I probibly am really just passing out from reliving the moment.

I love the new smilies!!
Today is a bit anxious and stressful with external things that are out of my control. Feeling a bit tired, maybe passive. A good day to just curl up with a book until tomorrow comes.

I am sorry to hear of the sleeping troubles! I hope you checked out the sleep section and find something useful.

I on the other hand am happy I finally slept a whole night last night and seemingly dream free. I need a lot more of those! It was a nice thing to wake up groggy and grumpy instead of in panic.

I have to go to the doc as usual today for my updates. I really feel like sitting around the house instead, no strong motivation to do what I am supposed to. At least the toddler is fed and clean and playing happily with her toys.

I am trying to figure out my daughter, a female teen mind makes zero sense. Yes, I am about to rant. She brings home failing grades so I ground her from make up and razors thinking that will get her to pull them out. I take it all away and made it clear perfume was on that list. So she sneaks my razors and uses other's stuff at school. So the rocket scientist using other people's things brings home lice, that was lovely! Thankfully it was contained! And then she doesn't get it why I won't treat her hair for her... Uhhh you did it to yourself disobeying and you are old enough to take care of it. DUH. And I decide pocket book method, next time she has to by her own treatment. Denies using perfume at school. I smoke and drive with my windows all the way down and I am still gagging on the strong odor when she hits the car. A chore for the kids is to feed the birds. She throws all the feed in the wet grass and I have 50 free ranged critters digging up my back yard... AFTER I already said to put the feed in the mowed down garden to fertilize and dig up for me. She did this a few days in a row after half my backyard is already mud is when I caught it. What really chaps my ass is we had grass back there and now weeds are what comes in to replace it. So she got indoor chores and drags shit out that will take 15 minutes to 2 hours. How she hasn't caught on I can stay up as late as her any day is beyond me. I am running out of things...

I just don't get it, I cannot punish her! She makes any thing I come up with 10 fold back at me. And that isn't including the annoying attitude, eye rolling, talking back, rudeness, bossy, and crying fits when things are not her way like many other hormonal teens. How in the HELL do you punish a teenage female short of bopping them on their wee heads?????? I won't even go there where she finds scaring me soooo amussing, she is trying be clobbered there. Really she is... I have another teen but he is nothing like this one. Boys are easy to punish, take away game boy or TV and they are right back in shape pronto. I feel nuts enough without her bull dozing me.

Sleeping can be so difficult sometimes... grrr
not sleeping, then having nightmares when I do, etc.
Sorry to hear some are having probs right now.

Oh veiled, about your daughters punishment (taking away make-up and razors)... well that's just awesome and very creative in my opinion. If my mom would have done that to me, I'd probally bring home lice too, lol. As at that age it was unthinkable for me to leave the house without my "face paint".

I'm sure I was a handful in my teens, but I remember the first time my mom caught me skipping from school....
Me and 4 friends were hanging out at my house, when my mom ends up coming home sick from work. Everyone braced theirselves for the "freak-out".

But instead of yelling, she just ignored me and went into the kitchen. Of course she had my attention now, so I head into the kitchen to see whats up. "Where are you guys headed now?" is the only thing she asked me.

That blew me away, even though we both knew I was skipping...she didn't order me back to school, she didn't yell, she just asked.

"ummm.... we were headed back to school" I didn't know what else to say. So I packed up my stuff and got my friends to drive me back to class. Funny thing is, I don't think I skipped school since...

I have no idea what to do with your teen daughter, but hearing some of your stories give me a chuckle :)

Already went to therapist this morning, just one more doctor appointment to go and then I can rest for the day!! yay

I have a teen age daughter too who some times confuses the shit out of me
she knows how to upset me enough so that I no longer know what is going on around me .when I do realize what she is doing she laughs and then gives me a hug.I usually tell her to stop fricken with my brain .That is if I am fast enough to catch onto what sheis doing.

Sometimes it seems like teens can be so intimadaiting. And sometimes they can make your world feel likeits going to end.But luckly it's just for a day and then I am back on top of things. Your not alone on this one.

Well, I am a bit conflicted. I am tickled that taking razors and make up cured up little "miss thang's" report card. As and 2 Bs, not half bad for a slacker!

On the other hand a major bridge was shut down over the ship channel and I could not make my doc visit. I swear I neeeeeed to see him and bounce things off of him. He keeps me half way sane. To top it off I will have to pay for the visit since it was a last minute thing. Oh well... But I really feel lost not going and am getting a major headache from it. At least it got me off my ass to shower, put on make up, and look decent.

I was touched though when I asked my hubby to pick up a bottle of perfume for me. Things have been tight so I have been wearing an acceptable cheap one. He bought my pricey one I used to wear and haven't in years. I could not believe he remembered what it was and did a little splurge. I guess not all the info they retain is useless! Nice surprise. And to top it off he made chili dogs so I did not have to cook since he got off early. Better go eat before they get cold.

Aaah yes Veiled we had our own episode of this just this morning. Said teenager drags his sorry ass out of bed at 10 am, has his long water wasting shower (even though we are on water restrictions) then proceeds to have a hissy fit when Anthony asked him to do his jobs before he left the house. Let me establish the sum total of his regular jobs.....clean the cat litter tray, empty the bin and tidy up the kitchen after the evening meal. Tough life! Instead of just getting on with it we had a barrage of, I have a bus to catch in 20 minutes (blah, blah, blah), dumps cat litter tray in kitchen and cannot figure out why both Anthony and I crack it at him. Decides to run the gauntlet with Dad (usually picks me, smaller, pregnant, female easier target......so he thinks)got put in his place quick smart. Probably stilled pissed that his washing is not done, been sitting there a week now and will sit there for a month or 3 unless he or Anthony do it. Gave me a hard time the other day when I wanted to do 5 little jobs for me....moving boxes that kind of stuff........told him that evening I am through taking his crap. Whined for the 4th time this morning about washing not being done, like I said to him, you can operate the washing machine. Sounds like a problem but not my problem. Its not just teenage girls!! I think they should all be dropped on another planet until they become human again.

The laundry foot was put down here a long time ago! I used to do it, no more, uh uh, no way. The oldest, he thinks he has to wear layered shirts when it is 90 damn degrees! And if he spills the tiniest abount of water he has to change... wait 5 minutes it will be dry. Of course he has to change after school for some reason. And the girl, oh the girl. I would fold and iron clothes and put them on hangers and lay it all out on the bed for her to put up. I would find folded clothes in the dirty clothes and what ever she pulled from her closet she did not want to wear after looking at it went in the dirty clothes instead of back in the closet. I have even pulled shit out of the hamper still on a frigging hanger!!!!! I refuse to do it any more. And she uses 3 towels a day for her shower. I have tons of towels and soon as a closet is full it is empty in a couple days. Hubby and I along with the baby go through as many clothes in a week as those two in a day. And she keeps stealing my socks. Even the ones I wrote MOM on with permanent marker!!!! Right across the toes real big so when you put them on you see clear as a bell who those socks belong to and she could not say "but I did not know they were yours" yet still I have no socks, I have to steal hubby's.

They just don't get with a family of 6 everyone has to pull their weight and then some. If not it goes to hell real fast, especially with mom being a nut case! I have no clue how home schooling parents and teachers do it... I like summer for oh, about the first week, then I can't wait to pass them back! They go to school just long enough to calm down from what ever crap they just pulled.
