One of the things that they said at this CBT event I am attending is to do ‘nice/ positive’ things.

I asked like what and got the same sort of replies – go for a walk … well that was about it. And really we just don’t have anywhere that great to walk too where I live - and I hate being cold!!

So I thought – we can create a list of good things to do here to help everyone..??!

Finances are not great so perhaps things that cost little or no money – or could even be done at home.

I really could do with some inspiration as sometime I just think “What the hell can I do or what can we do as a family” And it gets too much so I just work!!! :O(

So over to you guys….

Yoga.
Dancing!
Build fort with blankets. (better with smaller kids - but fun with big ones too - our cat loves to get in a sleep...)

And, of course, at our house, Legos.

Thanks so much for your super ideas - I love them and hope others do too.

I love reading, going to the gym and eating out.

As a family I really struggle as things always seem more diffifult when the 3 of us together.

Yesterday my son and I had a 'home school' day while hubby did his homework. We read, did stickers, learnt about coins / money, did some fun maths, colouring in and drawing, we make snacks together - tasting new fruits and then dipping them in chocolate powder and golden syrup!

Watched a fun family film and even had a bubble bath together!

We had a lovely time.

I think we need some help being a family though.....

Thanks and hope to hear more good things to do!!

Ok for those with little uns we never had more fun than when we turned the dining table over and made it into a pirate raft.

Spend the day making Loo roll Binoculars, raggy pirate outfits and of course a jolly rodger and maybe a couple of cutlasses and then get on with a picnic and set sail to somewhere exotic admiring the local wildlife and sea conditions as you go.

Watch out for mermaids though, don't want you ran aground,.....Arggghhh,me hearties.

Do not try this with a glass topped table...

Why not try making your own daft words up to song on the radio.

There are few that come to mind now like Abba's Chiquitita, where the line is "Chiquitita tell me what wrong", change it to "Chicken Tikka out tell me whats wrong.

Fit what ever you want to what ever tune, you can have some hilarious results.

Cant tell you the rude ones though, not for children under 18.
