What Did You Do For You Today???

Ditto, Britt.f7, to Gizmo's reply. You took crucial steps to self-care -- simple tasks for others can be monumental achievements sometimes for ourselves. (We have other skills that nonPTSDers don't so easily possess -- a depth of empathy, for instance.)

Showers are tough for me; clean clothes, yeh, that, too; music is always a good choice. So, I say, kudos x3 to you.

I had an hour break from my children around lunchtime today, to remove myself from and all their noise and activity (which I struggle a lot with, major stressor). I'm getting better at knowing when my stress and anxiety is getting too much.

They had fun being noisy with their Dad and I had an hours peace, then I went back home more able to handle the noise :)

Self care is really important for everyone, not just me :)

I was struggling today. I had a person dump on me. It came out of the blue. It was very unexpected. It was in the form of a verbal attack. This is a very complicated situation so i decided to seperate from this person. It felt like a sucker punch and it hurt very much. As I see it the situation is now resolved. I will not associate with people who cross the line like that. So I decided to just walk away. A part of me wants to fight back, but it would be toxic and lethal. Better to bruise alittle than to break into a million pieces over this. So I did something good for myself. Thanks for listening.

A few days ago I picked my last roses from my garden (I usually don't pick them until this time of yr because I love seeing them on the bush). Anyway, I took the petals off the stems this morning and am drying them so that I can enjoy their wonderful aroma all winter. I shall kept them in a special vase for just that purpose and put it here by my computer.
