I can't for the life of me find it, but in some thread someone said something like (their words), "I deserve not to be hurt. [And also (therefore) not to hurt myself]."

I think that's really an incredible one, never occurred to me (the first part). I can't 'do' affirmations, but that's quite something and I think I can try that one. It's so shocking, but it's salient, it's so true for everyone.

It's strange that this should be one of the first things I read this morning. Last night, while lying in bed, I had the urge to hurt myself. I stayed in bed, thankfully falling asleep. Haven't thought about doing it in awhile. Junebug, that was a much needed reminder. Thanks.

I was able to shake the self-harming 20 years ago, just didn't recognize as per others, and have dealt with a past bad bout of SI and need to learn self care.
