H unlike me hates Christmas. I love the build up and preparation, whereas he thinks it is over the top.

Last night, we had our yearly visit from the Lions club. They bring Santa around the streets in his sleigh and do a door to door collection. I was excited and waving at Santa. Unfortunately, H, who to be honest had had a very long day (he's left at 6am and it was now almost 8pm) was driving into the street and was held up.

H came in the house full of bah humbug and grumbling :roflmao:.

Later I did hear him singing 'Let it snow' :inlove:

Two tree skirts down and one to go(the one with the extreme seam ripping ahead of me). Glad I have those other one's finished though. :)

Have to share a cute story in the madness of these weeks and my fourteen year old son.

Son: "Mom, who gets you presents?"

Me: "What do you mean? I get the presents for the kids in the family because it is Christmas for them. (talking of my neices and nephews)"

Son: "So no one gets you presents?"

Me: "Well your dad does from him and you boys."

Son: "Oh, good."

Me: "Why?"

Son: "I was worried. You buy presents for everyone else, I thought someone should be buying presents for you."

A proud mommy moment if I ever saw one. :inlove:

Here are the tree skirts that have been 5-7 years in the making. It would've helped if I worked on them more then a day or so before Christmas! :shy:

I folded each one back so that you can see the back of the tree skirt. Hope my siblings like them.

The first one is religious themed. The second is nature/old toys themed with the back being santa in racecars. The third is snowmen/birdhouses/reindeer with the back being various snowman characters. Each is suppose to represent the person it is for, their likes and color schemes.

I'm glad this part of my madness is over with. Just have to wash them and bag them. :)

Thank you Whitney for the wonderful compliment! I managed to piece them all together to make a quilt, I just couldn't quilt them. Does that make any sense? Suppose to sew a design on them but I failed in doing that.

Bubzilla, Whitney described the tree skir wonderfully! Some of them aren't made very big. These one's are. I tend to get fat trees and most skirts are too small for them. I'm pretty sure though, at Christmas, my brother will be humorous and put the tree skirt around his waist. I can always count on him doing something silly like that.
