Hey People!

About 15 minutes before my class for Zumba was going to start my personal trainer called. I told her I was dressed and ready. She yelled " get your butt over here" giggled and hung up. lol:eek: I jumped in the car and drove over. I could not finish the hour class. But I did thirty minutes and did 20 of my weight lifting. Do you not wish you had someone to just force your butt out of the house?:woot: Thanks for all the tips today. You all held me up until I followed my plan. I did it! I love the forum!

So, yesterday I went shopping and fixed a good dinner. My goal today is to clear off the carport for the firewood delivery, and visit with a friend. This is really helping me. Sounds like its helping others.
Shoulder MRI
I got a shoulder MRI and it showed a tiny tear. I kept pursuing this and got a shoulder MRI with contrast, and it showed the whole back of my shoulder was ripped out, and there was a dislocation. See if you can get the contrast, it shows so much more.

TB, What a great thread! I am laughing at myself as I read the title. I was expecting it to be something else.

I never judge a book by it's cover and don't know what I was thinking. Going to a gym alone, is huge. It is outstanding and I love your trainer!

@Britt, If she does not smile I will personally go and sit on her! She will love it.

@monster who is not! There are only so many hours in a day. I hope you are not overdoing what your body is currently capable of doing. Albertson's sell sugar free apple pie. I was shocked how good they are.

Great job everyone! I always set myself up for too many tasks in a day. It is nice I am not the only one. :)Whitney

When I fell off that bridge last October, I hit my head on the cement as well as my body, then the power chair, which weighs several hundred pounds landed on top of me. A couple of weeks later, this same shoulder and arm were hurting pretty badly. My doctor sent me to have x-rays, and they said nothing was broken. So I treated it as one more pain I had to deal with. Now, I realize the x-ray wouldn't show anything. But I didn't know that until last night when my Physical Therapist (PT) told me that.

I had some PTSD issues around this same time (October), as I had a stalker who wanted to burn my apartment up with me inside. He rigged it to blow when I plugged in my chair. Back then, he thought I still had oxygen in the apartment (from a sign on my door that said no smoking or sparks). I freaked out, after I called the police. At one point, I was scaring my neighbors and they had me locked up for observation for two weeks. Not once, in all that time, did they try to even look at the bruises on my body, or the way my legs were swollen.

From time to time, during that time, I couldn't get up off the toilet, and they refused to help me. Said, "You did it yesterday, why can't you do it today?" Hell, I didn't know why. All I knew was, I hurt so bad I couldn't use that arm to life myself up. Then, it got so bad, I couldn't lift my body up out of bed. I ask for a bedpan and they refused to give me one. Then got angry when I wet the bed. I figured it was just me switching or something (I have multiple personality disorder (MPD)) so I ignored it and just struggled to do the best I could. It took me taking off my pants and forcing them to look at my legs and the bruises I still had (after a month) for them to believe me.

Recently, on top of having phone calls where a person breathes but won't talk, I made the mistake of pulling out my recliner so I could wash my wall. I also moved a heavy marble end table. I'm sure that aggravated that shoulder. Now, thank heavens, my physical therapist tells me it is not my imagination. There is a real problem with that left shoulder. And he and my doctor are trying to help me be out of pain.

Today, my plans are to talk to an attorney about what that hospital did to me. What do you all think about that idea?

Safenow

I think it would be a good idea to talk to a lawyer. Find out your rights and what can be done. Nothing lost and you gain the power that you tried to make things right. You also are standing up for yourself. If it feels right go for it! Always prepare yourself that you may not hear everything you want to. But in the end you still win you followed through on your plan to talk to the lawyer!

Great advice for Safenow, TB.
@Safenow~Most attorney will do a 1 hr consult for no charge.

If you write the important facts into a list of issues and then give more pertinent details to each issue. It will be organized and the attorney can surely see all the facts you have to present. Definitely worth a start.

You might want to interview a couple attorneys. Or call your Governors office Ombudsman and discuss with them. They are in charge of all facilities in the State.
