Sufferer Ptsd, Anxiety Disorder.....overwhelmed

Not too long ago I could relate to what you were saying. I felt like I was drowning and there was no supports within the community. I went to a counselor however she wasn't very professional and it was a horrible experience. Everytime I went to the doctor all they did was try to give me more medication. I felt so alone and felt like no one cared. I even tried to admit myself into the hospital at one point, they sent me home.

But, it does get better. Keep searching for the help you deserve. it's out there! Also, family and friends are so important. Hold them close to your heart.

I'm new here too, but not new to a lot of the issues about meds. I can only speak for myself, but meds in and of themselves won't work. Again, this is only my experience and your mileage may vary. Meds work best when combined with talking therapy. They can establish a baseline that allows talking therapy to work.

So I can understand if you feel frustrated about being given higher doses. I *think* that maybe the same dosage w/ some talking therapy would get you feeling better faster.

I've also been looking into more ancient forms of healing, such as vision quests, sweat lodge, and wilderness therapy in general. I realize that is not everyone's cup of tea, but just maybe something like that may appeal to you too.

I'm still not ready to begin a diary. But this week has just been awful..... despite the fact my Zoloft has gone up to 200mg a day, my depression is bad. So many scattered thoughts, bad dreams, anger, sadness. The stress is physically affecting my health now. I just feel like I can't tell wether I'm coming or going.
