LOL! Totally get it @
Definitely..maybe! And I've got to charge my iPod Nano... it has a pedometer and somewhere I have a something like a watch band for it, so that would be cool. Because it
is surprising how much walking happens when you're not even thinking about exercising.
Update from yesterday... I did go out shopping and to a movie. It really lifted my mood. I always worry I go to stores too much, but my husband kinda said yesterday, "If retail therapy works, and you can fit it in the budget, hell, go for it. Anything to make you feel better." So, I embraced his sentiment. In the end, I didn't spend too much money, I just enjoyed walking through stores and stuff. I did make sure the humidifiers were running, and I used so much lotion I'm running low and have to restock... I could have done better on drinking water, but not too bad. Hmmm. I took a day off from exercising, but I think that's okay. I really have to be careful not to run myself into the ground... it does NOT help.
Well... I was up again with nightmares and flashbacks and crying and all that last night... this time more around 5:00am, instead of 3:30am, but hey, what can you do? Then I totally overslept by 3 hours and missed my window to run to the gym. So, because of my continued determination not to let this PTSD stuff take over and ruin my life... I decided a 60 second dance party (a la Christina Yang or Callie and Arizona on Grey's Anatomy) was necessary. It turned into more of a 15 minute dance party... but, and this is the most important part... don't continue the dance party while curling your hair with a curling iron turned up to the highest setting! Okay? It's dangerous. LOL! :D Then I added in some 20-20-20's (20 each of 3 exercises, like push-ups and jumping jacks) and I'm calling it a day... except maybe I'll go outside for a brief walk and maybe some shopping later tonight. But no pressure.
Anyways... here's some musical inspiration... first from my favorite band, Trapt, and then a lovely selection from The Lego Movie, LOL! ;) More music to exercise to is always good.
Get Up by Trapt
(I
really didn't want to get out of bed this morning... but this song did the trick.)
Your lonely cage
Is now unlocked
Once shackled ankles
Now free to walk
The chains that bind you
Are breaking off
One by one
As the floor beneath you drops
Get up get off the ground
I want to see your head in the clouds
Get up get off the ground
The sky's the only limit we got now
I see ya reaching out
Through a sea of faces in the crowd
Get up get off the ground
Break the ties to which you have been bound
Don't let this world bring you down
Get up get off the ground
You wait so long
To feel alive
For someone to come
Bring you to life
That time is here now
You survived
Don't hold back
From the ashes you will rise
Get up get off the ground
I want to see your head in the clouds
Get up get off the ground
The sky's the only limit we got now
I see ya reaching out
Through a sea of faces in the crowd
Get up get off the ground
Break the ties to which you have been bound
Don't let this world bring you down
Get up get off the ground
No more limitations
No restrictions
No more hesitation
No inhibitions
You have been awakened
You know your life has just begun
You're not just anyone
There's nothing you can't overcome
Get up get off the ground
Get up get off the ground
I want to see your head in the clouds
Get up get off the ground
The sky's the only limit we got now...
Everything is Awesome from The Lego Movie
Everything is awesome
Everything is cool when you're part of a team
Everything is awesome, when we're living our dream
Everything is better when we stick together
Side by side, you and I gonna win forever, let's party forever
We're the same, I'm like you, you're like me, we're all working in harmony...
