Yer, but everyone tries to push you to take them. Tell you are doomed if you don't. And when you feel so bad, you think maybe they must be right. Takes a hell of a lot to say no. Tell you what, I wish it was a simple as eating blueberries. wouldn't that be nice.

This has been known forever I thought. Anyway that is rubbish. It is not the only approved therapy. CBT is. meds are not therapy.

If you read the study, its actually quite interesting. The study was done on rats given PTSD, and the issue is that SSRI's affect areas they believe counter the use of the SSRI to begin with. Blueberries, it seems, give the exact same effect as SSRI's to serotonin, except they don't affect the other areas believed to counter the effect.

It is actually very interesting research, to be honest, regardless how silly it sounds.

God I'm so desperate at the moment. Blueberry smoothies and blueberries in my cereal are beginning to sound really good. I sent the link to my psychologist. Wonder if there is any other research or if this is the only one?

Don't get me wrong Anthony. I have no doubt that this is real stuff. I am just waiting for big P to counter with a study that states that blueberries are horrible for humanity (arsenic in their seeds or something), so as to blow the competition out of the water.

Blueberries are extremely fun to grow and native to eastern North America. There are related plants in Europe and possibly elsewhere.

You do need to keep a bird net over them if you want to actually eat some... the early bird gets the blueberry.
