So many fun things to do at this time of year. Today my son and I went to a corn maze and had some fresh pressed apple juice and listened to a band and petted some cows and cats and bought some pumpkins. What a wonderful fall day! It was so nice to go out and just be in the moment, nothing intruding on our time, no worries...just taking it all in.

Moments to Remember

Hi Unmightknowme,

What a wonderful day to share with us:occasion:. I hope you have pictures to remember this treasured day.

Thanks for sharing. I was thinking about getting out and doing something fun for a bit today. Maybe the art museum. I have three close girlfriends and one's too busy to get together much, the other two are several states away. I guess I gotta make some more close friends so I don't have to do so much alone. I have a lot I want to go do, like outside but it's so overwhelming by myself, I tried and practically ran back to my car.

I love this time of year, too! I went apple picking yesterday, and right now I have an apple crisp baking in the oven. It smells soooo good!

OK, OK, I'm getting in the shower now to go do something fun. I feel leapyears away from putting an apple crisp in the oven and my stomach just growled reading that. I do well to get a micro meal in the oven. I'll at least go buy myself one. Baby steps.

Ooooo Apple Crisp!! I think I will go to a local apple farm tomorrow and pick up some apples and also take our big jug so I can get some more of that fresh pressed juice. Its nothing like what you get in the stores.

Yup Cyndi...baby steps! Think of it as more exposure therapy! I have to do that too. I get homework that is to go out and do something that gives me anxiety and stick with it to teach myself that I can. You CAN too!

I love the fall (we have REALLY cold winters up here).

I love Thanksgiving (Oct 12/13th in Canda this year) - I have made up my mind that I am going to try to really enjoy it if I can this year - just do what will bring me some peace (hopefully) and what I need to do this time.

Junebug, every year my son gets excited when he sees the Canada Thanksgiving on the calendar because he thinks it's our (U.S.) Thanksgiving. Hmmm, maybe we should start a new tradition here (good excuse for a nice big meal) :thumbs-up

We Fully Agree...

Hi there!

My pup and I had a similar adventure this past Saturday. With some friends, we went to an apple orchard where they also have a corn maze and a pumpkin patch. We came home with our own self-picked apples and a self-picked pumpkin. I agree the season is wonderful (is there a season that doesn't provide us with special adventures?). We are also looking forward to going camping now that the bugs are gone to enjoy the picturesque scenery. Not to exclude anyone on the Southern Hemisphere... spring also has its amazing wonders, doesn't it?

We're going to the movies to celebrate Thanksgiving this year (also a Canuck)! You know, one of my friends made a point of doing something fun at least once a day!
