2D vs 3D World - What do you do in 3D?

I go to the forest sometimes, as there is nobody there, and I also recommend just leaving that PC off and grabbing a book instead.

I have been going to the cemeteries around here. Can't transmit anything because everybody there is already dead. LOL

I started reading in earnest today. I didn't realize how unable I am to concentrate.

Being online helps me too but don´t forget it´s a way of distracting yourself from yourself.

It's the only way for me to connect. But you're right; it's so good to get off for a while and work on something that really feeds your soul.
 
I am making a list of furniture projects I need to finish and start on. I also want to clean out my workshop, and I need to get rid of a lot of things that I don't use. Maybe I'll plan a yard sale! I also have to make a chicken coop out of a crib. I got it free on Craigslist, to use as a brooder, but it took up a lot of space. Things like this help me. Too much time on the computer depresses me and I go to sleep, so I try to limit it to breaks.
 
3rd time ill with covid symptoms in 7 weeks but when am well enough I'm absolutely loving getting into art, learning different techniques and trying them out.

Also when well enough have been walking to my local park (socially distancing religiouly) is just blissful there. Really have been in the moment appreciating every little thing I see n hear n smell. ❤
 
My wife and I are celebrating 40 years together next week. I think we know each other better now than I thought we ever would again. I can't take her out to dinner, we have tickets to a cancelled concert, I will find a way to make her smile that day.
Last weekend our daughters came home, and parked so that they could sit on the open backdoors of their SUV's and visit with us. Other than that, I havent interacted with anyone else excepting the mail man and the UPS drivers and random grocery clerks in person in 6 weeks. I am like all of us, using ZOOM and this forum to have a 2D social life for now.

For me it's essential to get outside connect with the elements, look up at the blue sky, and let pipits of sunlight roll down the back of my eyes, stark contrast to screen light!
Exercising outside and expressive movement is also important for me. I also practice qi gong outside too and have been teaching myself more about clearing energetic stagnation and the five elements in TCM albeit through YT videos but then I take the practice outside and feel it for myself
There's also a tree I like to go an connect with. I do walking meditation where she lives. Also trying to do more siting meditation and listening to dhamma talks. Hoping to be back working on the garden when I get the strimmer fixed

And saying all this, I still think I still have too much screen time mainly through writing on a computer, responding to emails etc or watching videos

I don't tend to do Zoom calls. I prefer phone calls and even then limited otherwise I get quite full up

Thinking I want to read, hand write, paint and bathe more
