Hi James and welcome to the forum.

I was not near London that morning but as I'm also in England, I was horrified as the events unfolded before my eyes.

I hope you don't have to wait too long for therapy. I know with the NHS it is a bit hit and miss but ask your GP or the hospital for a therapist who is accustomed to dealing with trauma. I was lucky, I'm in Shropshire and my therapist helped give me my life back. If the wait is too long, could you go private?

This forum has played a major part in my recovery as well with its information, support and friendship.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I am glad you are going to get some help for yourself. It is very good for you. It wil help you sort out all of the ptsd symptoms. You will be ok. Just do not give up and have hope. There is good waiting for you around the corner. It is nice to meet you.

Welcome to the forum. I'm also from the UK and can remember the 7/7 bombings- I can only imagine what being there in the midst of it was like.

I really do hope that the NHS can support you, but I know that this might not be the case, in the short term anyway. As KP said- do you have any ability to go private? If not, could you look into charity-run therapy, such as 'Mind'? I see my counsellor through them and have done for two and a half years.

So my Therapist turns up at my house and my mum opens the door to him and my dogs go to see who he is friend or fo.

The therapist takes a big step back and "Say's please can u put the dog's away i have had a bad experience with dog's".

my mum replies without batting an eyelid "you should go and see a therapist about that".

I couldn't help but chuckle to myself.
