Maybe you can't say the same things to yourself now....but one day you might be able to. I know the way to healing is SO very DARK, over and over again. Being in the "valley" or "black hole" seems like quicksand, and it feels like you will NEVER get out. Keep moving, one step at a time...sometimes just a piece of the step...and sometimes you may fall back a step or ten. The "trick" though, is in NOT GIVING UP!

I have wanted to give up SO MANY times over the years, and sometimes it felt like I had given up. Reaching out for help is the BEST thing to do, and actually it is VITAL in your healing, or coming to terms with what you have had to deal with. I have no idea what your struggles are, or have been, but I DO know that no matter what, you ARE valuable, and your "story" is important. YOU are important...because you are a living, breathing person who is struggling but reaching out anyway.

I hope that one day you WILL be able to say at least some of the things that @Lionheart777 has written. Maybe you can "Bookmark" it and revisit it now and then.

I am reminded of a story of a bunch of people sitting around the dinner table with one long-handled spoon. When they discovered they couldn't feed themselves with such a long spoon, they did what was needed and they fed one another. :)
