Louisa, Perhaps finish today's bottle of wine, and then try and stop abruptly.
If it has already done so, or gets to be beyond your control and you see this, then seek help beyond this forum's capacity to find out what lengths and actions you must take, to keep the drink down and to begin daily to face all your problems.
If you're simply misusing alcohol now and heading for alcoholism, then simply choose to stop misusing it so that you don't reach alcoholism.
It sounds like you are using wine, rather then perhaps briefly accepting a sedative or tranquilizer. What beyond having Ptsd, specifically is it that you're trying to escape? Asking you this not for me or anyone here, instead for you to answer for yourself and then to make your own choices from there.
Genralizations and choices made thereafter, obstacles, suffering(s) and Ptsd are not excuses to stop seeking and squash full responsibility for striving toward whom we wish to be. Either we first act, seek help, may very well find, and then we accept and take personal actions upon the very help we desire and need to confront and take full responsibility and care of all our problem(s), or ...what happens is, all our problems pile up and all takes care of us, ...............and does so consequentially affecting not only our lives but those we love and those who may love us.
Louisa, my real advice is foremost find out if you're headed for alcoholism or if you're already an alcoholic. Try considering such, not based upon your thinking, rather upon what you ('ve) experience (d).
Can you stop drinking and stay stopped if you wanted to and hadn't the excuse of Ptsd?
My Best Louisa to you, as you journey.
Hope
