Advise

In nursing school and just had mental health theory instructor showed a video and gave me serious flashbacks that I blanked out and failed the test. Which did not help and ended up not passing class. Gave instructor a letter from my psychiatrist but he disregarded my plead to allow me to retake a different test. Does any one have any advise on how I can fight the school? I’m desperate I don’t think I can handle taking course again.

I don’t think you have a leg to stand on. Here in the USA you can get accommodations but even so those don’t allow you to skip out on course work, they just level the playing field ie extra time on tests, etc. Taking a different test isn’t in the scope of what is a reasonable accommodation.

Also, you can’t fight these things after the point. Accommodations must be requested before class work is initiated.

You could probably get accommodations for retaking the class, but even so, they aren’t going to let you skip out on material. It just wouldn’t be fair as the requirements for a degree are there for a reason.

If you can’t handle all of the classes for a nursing degree, sad to say but this field isn’t for you.
