I'm new here as of yesterday and still figuring out how things work, but wanted to thank you all for the posts on this thread.
I think affirmations are a good way to change thoughts and beliefs from negative to positive. The thing is that, for me anyway, I need to read and/or say them often for them to sink in.
I think affirmations are a really positive daily mantra to move positive thoughts into our minds.
I am a survivor
I am a good parent
I deserve to get well and be happy
It's not being selfish to take care of myself
As long as I am moving in the right direction, it doesn't matter how long the journey to healing takes
