No but I like to believe so.
Don't you think that because circumstances have been out of control in the past that it is important to do so now?

Yes drugs are harmful - but only compared to not taking them, and can vary depending on dosage and length of time on them.

I guess I was naive and didn't think much about it until somewhat recently. Now I do think I am reliant which brings me back to my control issues.

Yes and no.

PTSD by definition is unpredictable so if you get hung up on controlling it, well let's just say it's a losing battle. We can't control when symptoms are going to strike, we can't control which medications or therapies are going to work for us. We can only try our best to battle the disorder. Sometimes it's best to just be ok with how unpredictable it all is because accepting (rather than fighting) the unpredictability will help us move forward a bit easier.
