And a very frustrated one.

Ok so I agree to accept the work that jobcounsler got me. Even do its a underpaid shit job in store. Day before Im suppose to start I fall badly in the forest. So after first day t work I must go to emergency and result is broken hand prolaps and so forth. New boss dont belive me despite sick leave. Or he is just generally in bad mood. Job counsler says he is sooo nice.
Then after two weeks of sick leave I message boss and say Im ready to work. He answer I had to weeks on sick leave to do a course he thinks I need to work in food store.
Well I had broken fingers and severe pain and toe and what not - dah - no cant do. Sick leave means Im to sick to anything.

So now today I finally managed to have appointment with him to come there and do the course. I fail!! I fail the examen on a underpaid job in a food store!! Boss says he will help me with the questions and then when Im asking for him - he left!! So I try again - and I fail!! 2 hours doing this. And I cant get back to job before I do this. Im so angry and so upset.

All I do to try to stay ashore and move ahead. Even accepting to do something I dont want.

Im trying so hard to self manage myzself - my life - dont fall down the black hole - stay on the line. Trying to save my life. And feel all I do is banging my head in the wall.

Ugh it sounds like the job counselor oversold the boss. It does happen. I've experienced it. Know what you will and won't do. It's not easy with such a rough start. TBH I think the boss is a turd. Weigh the options. Your mental wellbeing is important. Are there penalties if you leave? Is there a set contract time for this? Is the job counseling group you're with there knowing about mental health? Is there a policy they have insured for your successful acquiring of a job, or are you just thrown into the fray?

And what happend with you then LuckyD? I have 6 months contract. They know about my mental health yes. I told the work counsler that what destabilize me now is my economy and I need stable work with normal income to move ahead. They are supposed to find suitable work after what ones interest to do, what experience you have and such. Its supposed to lead to succesfull accomplishment. And she did so for her other 19 clients. In my case I was thrown to the fray yes. Im really trying to make the best out of it, but when it gives me more stress then I can handle in addition to everything else I have to handle I freak out. Job counsler is now on sick leave and not avaible for a month atleast.

If it is in the wrong place hit the 'report' button and ask the mods to move it to wherever you think is appropriate. You are likely to get more responses if it is in the right place.

@Lucycat, good eyes. Crap. Featured threads often have me overlook forum sections. I need glasses!

A six month contract can seem long, but when it comes to the economy, and the stability found within, it seems to be short enough for you to learn coping strategies and gain some experience which you could apply elsewhere if indeed it's better to leave.

The group I was with for job search did oversell as well, mainly because the company had ties to maintain with companies. It allowed them to get funding from the government to keep on going as it was a non-profit. A lot was exaggerated. Lies first, then "support" to help a person keep a crap job. My last one wasn't too bad, at a second hand store, but I knew the boss. I knew his friends. I didn't like them, so I kept my head down. It was a two month contract. The more I aligned my mindset with other employees, the easier it became. When in Rome, I guess. I became part of the pack. I became accepted. In the end I blended in. I didn't get rehired, which I'm glad for. Turns out those who did quit within a few months. What a blow, but what a reminder that my gut instinct was right. I covered my butt. I did what I had to, kept by the rules, arrived on time and will never work in a place like that again.

Money really does help me do the things I like, which cost money.

For the month, my suggestion is to try and bear with it as much as you can. The paycheck is the end goal in this.

So this is a video that helped me. The time stamp is 2:08. It's a story and a song to hopefully help you get through your day. :)

So then onto my next question Lucky - how are you doing with job and economy today after this?

I reckognize all you said. I like my work counsler, but yes there seems to be a lot of lies and fake support going on. I also have told counsler I had a job like this 2 years ago that ended in sick leave.. And then its exactly what she do to go and get this job. . But to learn the coping strategies and get back into work routine after being unemployed for a while can be good.

At the moment before the paycheck Im not sure itll pay of. I have to keep cool and wait to see. Cause Im on welfare and a underpaid job might make me go in minus as the will subtract money for each work day. That kinda means - if I have normal pay or more Ill go in plus with subtracting, but low income can make me go in minus.

I want money - I want to be able to have a life again.
