Mostly good. Some very good. By that I mean that on the first night we were in the hot tub with a bottle of wine and we finally did a little talking. No huge confessions, but none needed or expected. She talked in general terms about how sometimes she is just depressed. Wanted to make sure I knew there would most likely going to be more hospital admissions and talked about the pattern of those admissions. Each fall and each May. Just before Mother's Day and out anniversary for the last 3 years. Second night we didn't talk as much and were facing each other and just kind of just lept our hands on each other's leg, lightly stroking. Just the type of non-sexual intimacy that we need. Anyway, I felt it was huge. Now, back to our work routine and the usual behaviors, but those two days were great. I felt I had just a little bit of her back for an instant and it gives me hope.

I'm glad you had a good couple days. It's days like those that get me through a lot of bad days with my sufferer. We spent a weekend at a festival a state away and had a great time just being friends again. Maybe they dont realize how much we adore those good days. But maybe even talking about how awesome it was when you are having a bad day can help too. Remind her about sitting there and being intimate made you so happy.
My sufferer and i both try to remind each other of our good days when either off us notice the other getting down or stressed, and talk about looking forward to the next good time/get away/ etc.
I am also thankful to know others are out there who know what days like that mean to us carers. Thank you thank you thank you.
