T pulled me off caffeine a week ago. The detox was rough - which only gets eye rolls if I mention it to friends. But I've been using caffeine to keep my ans from dropping. Yesterday my temp dropped below 96 degrees, my heart slowed down, and my body ached. Took 6 hours to get semi non woozy. Finally feeling better today but can only go for short bits of activity. Lots of water and good protein are helping.

Anyone experience anything like this?

It sounds like ANS might be autonomic nervous system? Something else?

I haven't personally experienced physical effects like you describe. I do feel happier with some coffee though. My father went off coffee suddenly and almost passed out in the heat last week.

To get off caffeine, slow is much much better and kinder to your body and brain I think. I usually do it by switching to half decaf for a few days, then 3/4 decaf a few days... wait until feeling a bit better... then off totally. I often just have half caf coffee anyway, esp. after noon.
