Hi everyone just wondering about anxiety attacks do anyone of you experience them just all of a sudden ? Sometimes I start getting anxious but don't know what started it I have not been diagnosed with ptsd but I did take some online tests that say I have a high chance of it anyway until I find out would you say sudden anxiety attacks are common in ptsd ? Thanks any ideas are greatly appreciated ?

I do not know why you are having sudden anxiety and I hope you find a relief but I wonder few things that you can consider in your own time and space.
What exactly was happening before you felt the anxiety?
What do you do about it in the past?
Where in your body do you feel it hits?
Are there others whom you really value their relationship to you but ....there is history or unresolved issues and you are not ready to explore that today?

Just asking these questions and hope as you ponder you listen to the body and see if the answers resonate with you and release the tension or make you grip to the anxiety more.

PS. I will also caution you not to self-diagnose yourself. These can be trap for all of us. You may or may not have PTSD or something else but at the end of the day, you want to be here and now and be your own in your body...so hope you keep an open mind.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind I mean usually I know it's worrying but just sometimes it starts out of the blue thankfully most of the time I can distract myself and ease out of the anxiety by watching videos or walking.

When you have these attacks do you think or feel you will die?

You feel like forget to breathe and heart beat is out of sync, the world you know no longer exist and your mind spins with worry and unidentified fear?

I hope things get better. Breathing deep throughout the day when we are "ok" helps. Whenever u get a chance to do. It builds up tolerance. 4x4x4 ten times. Usually by 8th time i am yawning. The breathing activates our vagal nerve that connects brain to organs.

Tapping fingers helped too. I understand its hard when we are in panic..its hard to think but all we can do is try.
