This is such a weird symptom but I think my anxiety sometimes gives me a tingly feeling on my skin primarily around my shoulders and chest and my shirt and under clothes feel so intensely uncomfortable all I can think of is getting them off. I had a long day of meetings today sitting down and went to class straight from there so I don't know if I just couldn't sit still any longer but I felt so restless like I needed to leave go for a run to release the extra anxious energy inside me. I needed to take anxiety meds to finish class and blasted music with windows down on the way home. I don't know what got into me but I've felt that anxious discomfort with clothes around my chest and shoulders before. I never read about that being associated with anxiety but I am gathering this happens? That's all I can figure it might be.

This sounds like an issue with not being grounded properly. Do you feel comfortable when you just have to sit?

Sorry you are going through this, I know this feeling and it can be very irritating to sit with.

I just have such a hard time sitting anywhere when I'm like this. Either something small is going to trigger me and send me over the edge into a panic attack or I need to go for a run or something very physical. I'm at a loss for what to do when I have to be at work or school and can't go run but feel like I'm at the edge of a cliff with my anxiety.

Never though of it being a PTSD-thing... Im ADHD, with accompanying sensory issues... And those exactly are some of mine.

- I wear camisoles almost exclusively. I layer up sweaters & jackets & stuff to stay warm... Have some UnderArmor compression long sleeve stuff which are also fine... But the loose/tugging/bunching/too tight/ too droopy/ too... Just make it stop! thing of most shirts drives me insane.

- Certain clothes "feel" like work. Or whatever. But in order to switch gear from being at school/ work/ etc... The very first thing I do either at home or the bathroom of a cafe if I'm going out after work/school/etc... Is strip. Ahhhhhhh. Thank. God. New clothes. Goodbye contaminated ones! (Not germs. Literally contaminated by work/school/etc.) I cannot relax in them. Start spinning out.

- The movement, music, etc. is simply part of my daily life. There are ways to be less annoying to others with it, but they're always present.
