This is an in-house rehab type hospital mental health unit which treats "development disorders" and trauma. This can include alcohol and drug use, PTSD, Major Depression and Anxiety. I have joined a health fund which will cover it.

I want to hear from someone who has been or knows someone who has been.

The lectures on Youtube sound great but it is full on isolation and medical based and I fear that. No cofffee, phone, computers, TV or books. 8am till 9pm lectures, group therapy, training etc etc. Just like Celebrity Rehab. I have emailed with one of the lectureres but psychologists therapy and psychiatrists piss me off as they dont listen and I hate psycho-babble.

I am sick at the thought of going. I just dumped my therapist who is supposed to be the best at PTSD. She refused to give me any key words from her notes so that I could do homework and then sent a long email outlining her years of experience when I asked again.

@anthony I would appreciate any input you may have. It will be treated with confidence. PM me if you want please.

99 views and not one reply? Come on guys. Surely someone in Australia has some knowledge of this program. If it has had any success in treating some aspects of PTSD it could be a valuable resource for all of us. If not successful, or if people have anecdoctal input to give that is also valuable.
