News Article claiming divorce caused ptsd

I saw a program once on the TV where a woman was claiming to have PTSD from bullying, which I will not deny is a horrible thing to happen to someone doesn't really match the severity of Criterion A and PTSD, very similar to this. The ignorance irritates me the most that the immense suffering of people with real PTSD is put aside for some attention seeking dickhead, I can't believe these people manage to get on TV and make articles, it's because other people believe them that they have PTSD because people don't know much about mental health. And there's therapists out there who egg them on. Truly despicable behaviour.
 
Yeah, it's a dreadful thing and bullies can really lack normal levels of empathy and it can give long-term consequences but not PTSD. IMHO think bullying that is severe enough to give you PTSD is better referred to as emotional abuse?

Yup. - I don't get the whole two finger thing. I mean, an FU is three fingers... the other sign I know of with two fingers, is the "peace sign" and the 2 for talking on the phone.

Seriously though, I don't how one incident can make someone PTSD. I guess I've just been through hell too many times. Thank God for meds!
 
Am I the only one who hopes this asshole has a PTSD-wish and he actually gets PTSD later on down the road, and then reflects on his divorce, realizing it was a pleasure cruise in comparison?

Oh, but really, I’m not that cruel. ;)

Turn the Victory “V” Symbol (peace sign) around, so your palm is facing you, and it’s the same “f*ck you” everywhere else in the world, as giving giving the middle finger is in the US.

During the Middle Ages, Britain and France used to fight some really bad wars (Anglo-Saxon being one of the best-known). Back then, armies were incorporating crossbows into their arsenals; although the traditional archer was still important, the new technological advances greatly expanded their range of attack.

When the French captured a British archer, they'd cut off the guy's index and middle fingers. This was to prevent him ever again using a bow or crossbow (assuming he survived captivity long enough to be released). So when the British won battles, they'd flash the "two-finger salute" at the retreating French as a massive "F-you".

When I read the article, it didn't fully register that the author had colloquially admitted he'd cheated on his wife with another married woman. Which really grinds my gears even more.
