I just turned sixty two months ago. So Happy sixtieth from another sixty year old person. As to surprises, I don't often have them. I was not expecting any party or anything on my birthday and there wasn't one, no surprise there. My family is far away, so they didn't plan anything. What I did was invite two girlfriends of mine out for lunch on my birthday. We went for pizza and I told them it would be on me. They did give me a gift, it was in a gift bag, so that did not seem threatening to me at all. They gave me a book, which I enjoyed very much. There were also some other little things in the bag, one of which I gave to another friend of mine because it did not fit me. All went well. So I hope it all goes well for you too!

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR KIND WORDS!! We had a gourmet dinner at a quaint New England resteraunt and then they took me to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Progressive rock at 60- I still have it! The sweetest thing was my daughters post on Facebook: "Happiest Birthday to my beautiful mother. You are an inspiring example of living a full and interesting life no matter the obstacles. I love you to the moon and back"

I adore that Orchestra and just watched their last year's Holiday Performance on the TV two nights ago in the wee hours!
