I have just read a trilogy of vampire stories written by a friend.

They were so enthralling I could not put them down.

Not what you would call bedtime reading, but that is when I read them. :roflmao:

I can't read in bed as I can't get comfortable. I've had a lovely quiet day just reading. It is so cold outside, there is nothing better than sitting next to the fire with a good book.

I was just about to get 'Low Pressure' (Feb book), but they don't have it for Kindle.

Yes, they have it in the UK and in the US, but not here. :( I was looking forward to this one actually, but don' want to get the paperback (same price). Tried ordering from Barnes and Noble US, but didn't work either. Oh well.

Guess it's so expensive because it's brand new on the market.

I haven't popped in here for a while because I've been reading a lot of stuff not on the Book Club list.

I have been reading some of the books KP has given me - some of the lighter ones, a book about Silverdale (a place in Lancashire) and Ozzy Osbourne's biography.

Ozzy Osbourne's biography is amazing! It is sad, honest, deeply moving and hilariously funny!:roflmao: Be warned, it is very frank and full of 'F' words but I loved it!

I have read more book on my kindle since I got it for Christmas then I had in the 6 months previous.

Maybe because it is so easy to get free books and not having to wait for ones you buy to come through the post. Plus being able to read in bed with out the light on so not disturbing hubby.

The closest bookstore to here is about 12-13 miles from here, but at least Amazon does take good care of me. I cannot imagine them doing otherwise to anyone. I'm sure they do though, sorry for those of you that have to wait and wait...

I just finished reading the Biography of George Meuller (not sure if I spelled that right). He was the fellow who took care of all the orphans in England during the 1800s, to save them from the poor houses. His life was a real adventure, as he never asked anyone for a donation except God. He prayed a lot!
