Hi All,
He's been disappearing every day and each day it becomes longer and that grounded feeling that he normally feels after each long absence is not lasting as long.
Yesterday, my boyfriend who served in the US and Canadian Special forces for over 20 years went out at 3pm and didn't return until past midnight even though he told me he'd be back in one hour. For the longest time he didn't answer his phone and my texts, I didn't know where he went and when he'd come home.
When he finally called me as he was driving home, I couldn't recognize this man. He's talking about dead bodies on the streets. He asked me where the kids were and if they were safe, (he thought our house was shelled). When I asked him exactly where he was he said he didn't know but he'll look for the next check point. There's so much he was saying such as he saw patrols and that I need to be careful of mines.
I was so scared and I didn't know what to do other than to make sure he stayed on the line with me. I told him to pull over and tell me where he was and I'd drive out to get him but as it turned out he was close to home. He told me he knew he was getting close to home because he stopped "seeing" dead people all over the streets. While he was in this state of mind he thought he was driving over them including women and babies.
Oh my dear god, he's in a bad state. We're going to get help today, he'll be seeing his doctor who has done cognitive therapy with him in the past.
