11th Anniversary of my father dying. - Found his grave and overcame my grief of losing him after all that time. Laid a Single Rose on his headstone. Shed many a tear. Miss him dearly, always with me in happy memories.

Military Funeral for Marine (D), Facing my own work colleagues after losing my Career 8 months ago. Facing the accusing glances with my head held high for once. Demons well and truly laid to rest there.

Invited to a Firework Display, Since my breakdown I struggle greatly with large crowds, especially those with lots of noisy voices. A cause of many a panic attack in recent history. Dealt with.

100th Anniversary of World War one, Remembrance day parade. To my shame I have not attended or Marched much since I left HM Armed Forces. Well tomorrow I shall !

For myself:- a sense of pride, I may have been left Traumatized but I was proud to wear that Uniform. Proud to serve my Queen and Country.

For my Father :- In respect for a Dad who I always knew I could depend on, a man who religiously sold Poppy's every year for Remembrance Day even though he could never serve himself due to crippling disabilities.

For both my Grandfather's :- In respect for their service in the Second World War. Both Honorable and forthright men. An inspiration to me my whole childhood

For Marine (D) :- A man who taught me hugely, A Royal Marine who dedicated his life to serving others, Queen, Country, and the Common Man. A man who would give his shoes if someone needed them.

I was honored to receive your Clan Thistle and Tartan Ribbon at your funeral Brother (D) and I shall wear it with Pride and as a mark of respect in Honour of You old friend. I Salute you.

As my Status says, 'Never more a victim, I am a fighter!'

I fought and survived a broken childhood and came through fighting, I have so far fought my entire life. I never bloody caved in then and I sure as hell won't cave in now.

We will remember All, who have fallen in battle during 2 World Wars, Numerous, too many to list, abroad and at home since 1914.

I make no apologies for being ever so slightly Patriotic at this moment in time.

Laurie.

My housemate (J) and I arrived at the memorial to be greeted by a representative of the Royal British Legion. Welcomed with dignity for our service to HM Armed Forces.

We were asked by same gentleman if we would pay tribute as Military Veterans and Lay a Wreath each in memorial for our personal combat lost brothers and sisters. Honored ! we both accepted graciously.

Marine (D) is one of the silent victims of War/Conflict, call it what you will. Servicemen and Women have been dying for well over 100 years to be commemorated today, Servicemen and Women the world over. It matters not which arm of the military you serve under or which country you fight with honor for the name of.

Be it service for Queen or President, kin or Country, Service in the Armed Forces the world over in protection of Innocents is Service.

I for one am proud to have served my nation, proud to have worn my Uniform, proud to have marched dead centre of the Parade today, shoulder to shoulder with a fellow Ex-Serviceman Paratrooper (J). Proud to have laid my wreath in remembrance of Marine (D) his Tartan Ribbon and Thistle placed among the many wreaths that lay beneath the Memorial Stone, a simple memorial for ALL servicemen and women injured in service with PTSD. Marine (D), Paratrooper (J), myself and countless many more, both on this forum and around the world. Servicemen and women who have every right to stand held head high, with dignity and Pride.

I salute you all.
