Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.
2 Corinthians 5:14-15 NLT
The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.
Hebrews 1:3 NLT
When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
Romans 5:6-8 NLT
He drew me up out of a horrible pit (a pit of tumult and destruction), out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings. Psalm 40:2 (AMP)
"But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him." Jeremiah 17:7
In the midst of my swirling mind this morning, fighting bad dreams, I heard this song and God speaking to me. Wanted to share. Hoping you have a blessed day. VB
MercyMe - Dear Younger Me (partial lyrics)
".......Dear younger me
It’s not your fault
You were never meant to carry this beyond the cross
Dear younger me You are holy
You are righteous
You are one of the redeemed
Set apart a brand new heart
You are free indeed
Every mountain every valley
Thru each heartache you will see
Every moment brings you closer
To who you were meant to be....."
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
