As a result of drug use, I'm assuming? How long has it gone on for/have you seen a doctor?

i just used .1g of "sass" (MDA) one time. it was a month ago.

and i've gone to my GP, mental health places on campus, and the emergency room. they put me on antidepressants but i don't think this is going to be solved with them.

There's a psychiatric diagnosis for reaction to substances. I think you are right on the cusp of when it's relevant but I don't remember exactly.

Have you told the counsellors etc about the MDA? Or just how you are feeling?

Asking again...
i really, desperately need to get in contact with the OP. Is there any way as an administrator you can send me his contact info? I can't keep living like this and he is the only person I've found with the same condition. I need to know if he's improved

No, I can't.

What you can do, if you'd like, is post your situation on this thread with more detail, and people here may be able to help you.

(By more detail - psych status before the MDA, onset of symptoms, what you have been told by doctors, etc. )

I'm not sure what you are considering to be rare, exactly - hallucinogens can create lasting effects on the brain. Small amounts too. I don't know that it's common, but it definitely not unheard of.

Your best bet here is to tell your story, see if anyone has anything to add.

Edit to add: A family member of mine blew their circuits on hallucinogens, so I'm not completely in the dark about the extremes of what can happen. The OPs story is one of intense substance abuse. Yours seems different from what you've said.

i will post tonight. Just wondering, how long ago did the family member experience this/have they gotten any better? I had only done this drug the one time, but it's having an immense impact on every aspect of my life. Thank you for your help.

how long ago did the family member experience this
almost 20 years ago.
have they gotten any better?
Yes. It did take a long time. About 5 years to get pretty close to back to normal, and another 10 to regain almost everything else. There were other substance abuse problems in there as well, though. He's clean now, except for methadone, which he'll always be on.

hi again, sorry about barraging you with questions, but do you remember exactly what symptoms your relative suffered from when this happened?

Yes, I remember a great deal of it in detail.

Just a few questions:

What was your psych status prior to using the drug; were you diagnosed with anything, symptomatic in any way?

What's your typical pot/alcohol consumption?

Are you male between the ages of 14-21?

What are your current symptoms?

What major life events have happened in the past 12 months?

It's really easy to take other people's experiences and see your own; it would be better at this point for you to lay out your experience before getting compare and contrast info.

Also, again - it will help other people contribute to your questions as well.
