Conquering my shame

Oasis, if you try it every day for two weeks, you will be amazed at how quickly you can retrain your thoughts. I'm skeptical of everything, and had no expectations, but every single day, it got a bit easier, and I believed it more. :)

Mal thank you for sharing. I look around the forum to learn, for myself and to be a better supporter.

But today you taught me how to find the beauty within myself. It's a lesson I can share with my children,so they can better their life's.

With your beauty Mal there is great strength. And from your strengths my family will benefit. So thank you are sharing.

@Mal Content - I do appreciate the thought of acknowledging to learn and move forward - I'm trying to explain things as "I'm anxious, here's what I know so far, I'm still trying to figure out the rest" instead of just letting the anxiety run rampant. Too much shame involved in so much - PTSD being foremost - I can't tell most people since it's seen as a weakness, then I feel shame because then I must be weak, and... *cycles rapidly downward*

@Ragdoll Circus - Happiness can't be trusted. Happiness can be used against me, or just when things are tenatively ok they go to hell in a handbasket... and it's never a fun ride. It's to the point where I think, "Hm, things are looking up. F***, what's about to go wrong..."

Well, I have just discovered that what I thought was my shame was one grain of sand on the beach of shame. I have A LOT of work to do. :(
