Are you willing to describe the assault in more detail? Was it violent, or was there a sexual component?

This is the only event you've described that could possibly support a PTSD diagnosis - but even if it was enough of a threat to your life to create a PTSD trauma event, it's not automatic that you'd develop PTSD. Many people who experience extreme trauma do not develop PTSD.

That doesn't mean that you're not suffering, by the way. I'm sorry, too, that 'get over it' is a pretty common story for people in China who seek therapy.

What if you dont declare it?

Ive researched this and though Japan has a large stigma on mental health and discriminates, there is no law that says you must tell your employer anything you found from a mental health professional. While seeing a therapist is frown upon, you can see a therapist and you dont have to tell your workplace anything.

I agree that you dont get PTSD from bullying (and I was very severely bullied), unless it included something like sexual assult and thats not bullying but rather a sexual assult; but that you are in pain and are suffering and it may have triggered past traumas but even if it did not, you need a therapist.

And you do not have to tell or declare it to your employer and you shouldnt.

1) In every job form I have to filled out, there was a place where I needed to declare if I have any mental illness. I asked the person why, and if they do discriminate. They told me no, and that it is ensure that they do not put anyone with social anxiety in the front line and could be used instead to pack things at the back.

2) The assault involves me getting restrained with some wires and I was hit by something. Those memories are really blurry but I can still feel fear, sadness, and anger upon recalling those memories...which just makes me want to lie in bed all day.

Dont declare it. I have horrid anxiety and Im in the "front line", customer facing, getting screamed at all day. There isnt a law that says you have to say yes to that question.
