I had a couple of really bad therapists the breached confidentiality, professional boundaries, moved in with me, had a relationship with me, knocked out my two front teeth etc etc. So people were right when they told me to see someone else, but I was so fearful and stuck I was unable to take in what they were saying.
Could you go for a second opinion to another therapist?
